We have a 25.4 cubic Whirlpool side-by-side fridge/freezer stainless steel look. Since the last 2 weeks....the display lights showing temperatures in fridge and freezer the front water/ice dispenser unit on the door has been flickering non-stop and making a clicking noise. It has now become very annoying. I don't think there has been any problems with the actual temperatures in the appliance....just the constant flickering on the front door display is the main problem.

Temperature displays
During normal operation, the temperature display shows the temperature in the middle of the refrigerator section and the temperature in the warmest part of the freezer section.

Cooling Off mode (also called Shop mode), is designed for use by retailers when they are displaying refrigerators on the shop
floor. In Cooling Off mode, the refrigerator's fan motor and lights work normally, but the compressors do not run, and
the refrigerator and freezer do not get cold.
To start Cooling Off mode, Touch and hold the Energy Saver button and the Power Freeze button for 3 seconds during normal
operation.
The refrigerator chime sounds and the temperature display flashes OF OF.
To cancel Cooling Off mode, Touch and hold the Energy Saver and the Power Freeze buttons again for 3 seconds.

Check that the defrost drain of hole is not blocked

fridge temp should be 30 to 35 degrees/freezer -1 to -5 f or between 2 to 5 C for fridge and -18 to -22 C for freezer several times a day is too often...... try once every 2 days without opening door in between checks....

Mine makes loud knocking noises though not all time. I have been told this is normal.

make sure air damper is open to frig

There is a defrost problem. Ice builds up between the ref and frz sections and wont allow coolo air through. You can also check to see if the damper is stuck closed

should be in the fridge side in the top either left or right side most are on the left but i would change tstat as well
