Unable to get lenses to work on ioptron twinstar telescope have the 36mm af 40• can't see anything the picture shows how it is set up

Take the lens cap off-- put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. DO NOT use the 2x barlow if you have one. Take it out during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. The moon should be your first target at night.

I have lost my user manual for telescope tasco 40-076420h can you help please regards joseph

Here is your manual:

http://www.manualsonline.com/manuals/mfg/tasco/tasco_telescope_product_list.html

You will need to register to download it. The manual will NOT help you learn how to use your telescope. It only has assembly instructions. Objects in the sky are tiny and dim, smaller than the tip of your finger held at arms length.

I can figure out how to put the thing together, i lost the manual and i dont know how to find objects, it all is black.

The manual will NOT help you find objects in the sky. It just shows how to assemble the telescope. Not HOW to be an amateur astronomer!

Buy and read these two books:

Turn Left at Orion

and

Nightwatch

Both are available on amazon.com. Also locate a local astronomy club and the members will help you with the scope and with finding objects in the sky.

Just Google "Astronomy Clubs". Read my TIPS on my profile page.

Could i convert my c8 to a go to computer and what would be involved

No, sorry the old C8 cannot be converted.

You might consider selling the C8 and upgrading to a more recent goto scope, OR deforking the tube, and mounting it on a GOTO mount like the alt az Ioptron Pro, or an EQ mount like this one:

here is the Ioptron:

How do i assemble my telescope d=70mm f=400mm lost my users manual full moon tonight please help

Go to Meade's web site and download one of the REFRACTOR manuals that is similar to your telescope. They all go together about the same way.

Need a manual/instruction booklet

You will not find a manual for that small telescope. However Meade maintains a web site with all their manuals.

Look under REFLECTOR for one similar to your telescope. They all work and assemble in the same way.

Who makes twinstar telescopes and how do i find

I suggest avoiding the Twinstar line of telescopes. These are sold by Taximarketer who sells a line of disappointing scopes including the Baytronix 150/1400. It is best to avoid Ebay unless you really know your stuff.

One reason is the lack of directions-- NONE!

However Meade telescopes maintains a web site with manuals for their telescopes. Look around the page and find one similar to your scope and download the manual for free.
