Why did my son's asus netbook load internet in chinese and have a chinese person logged in as administrator. Surely a netbook/pc for sale in uk should be set to english language
Yes I did change the language. However various things in chinese keep returning even though I have deleted them from history etc. My gripe was why do you get a brand new pc which was for sale in England not ready for the English marketplace.Yes I did change the language. Try a system restore/recovery to a date before this issue. Have you done any hardware or software changes or updates? Graphics updates. Shut down, unplug, remove battery, plug in boot and follow this procedure: Please restart your computer, and hold down the F8 key before the Windows logo appears. On theAdvanced Boot OptionsselectRepair your computer, and then press Enter. Select a user name, type the password, and then clickOK.On the System Recovery Options menu, clickSystem Image Recovery, and then follow the instructions. Take a look at this procedure from Asus suppot: http://support.asus.com/Search/KSearch.aspx?SLanguage=en&keyword=restore&ps=10&pn=1&st=knowledge
Here's how this admin unlocks forgotten Windows password: Start your computer and wait for the Windows Login or Welcome Screen. Once it shows, press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice and then type Administrator in the pop-up username box, but leave the password column blank. Next you could successfully log onto system. The following steps for resetting the forgotten password are quite easy. You can make it from "Start->Control Panel->Users Accounts".
Hi Ali.
you could try this or go to the link at the bottom and have a read up of what else you could try. Push the computer's F9 button until the Recovery System window appears. Choose the option for Windows Setup and select Recovery. You should see a message disclosing that you will lose all your files in the process as the Recovery puts the machine back to its original factory settings.
It means that you need to be logged on as an administrator to do this IF you are using Windows Vista, right click on the installer and "run as administrator"
at Windows XP's Welcome Screen, simply press Ctrl-Alt-Del keys sequence
together twice, and you will be shown a Log On to Windows menu where you
can specify the User Name and Password. In the User Name text box, key in
"Administrator" (without quotes) and leave the Password field blank. Then
press Enter or click on OK. If there it is not a password protected
Administrator account, or blank password is set, then you will be able
to access the Windows with full administrative privileges as
Administrator.
Then simply click start > control panel > User accounts then select your sons account and click edit then click remove password. once done simply log off and then log in to your sons account and no password will be asked for. If your son is the root administrator then you will need to get software to reset the password for you
go to safe mode by press f5 at first screen, then log in as administrator
after log in go to user account, click your account that you insert password, and you can remove the password from there
restart your computer and you will log in without the password
if you have windows xp you can try going into safe mode by pressing F8 at start up. once your in windows try logging in to the administrator account (it usually doesn't have a password) then you can change the password on your old account.
If you have windows 7 try following one of these guides http://forums.oracle.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=1100649&tstart=30 http://www.1-script.com/forums/How-to-remove-or-reset-Windows-7-Vista-XP-2000-password-easi-article2702--23.htm
if its windows 7, Right click and choose personalize, you'll find it there. if that doesn't work dell can remote into your system once you call them and unlock the administrator privileges.
