I'd like to know how to download music off my FTP website through my HTC Inspire's web browser. Is there some kind of browser that I can download for my phone from the market that will do this? Kind of like opera browser for the blackberry

I suggest you install Opera Mini browser for downloading music.

Download HTC Sync and install it on your PC. It enables synchronization of Outlook contacts and calendar, as well as your media files (music, video). Prior to connecting your phone to your PC through a USB cable, on your phone, go to 'Menu > Settings > Applications > Development', and make sure you select 'USB debugging'. At the moment you connect your phone, you will be prompted to chose the USB connection type. Select 'HTC Sync'.

You will have to transfer them to your SD card. You will need a computer/laptop with a SD card reader installed.

There might be something missing with the drivers on your computer. You should try first reinstalling the HTC Sync software. If that does not work then try searching for a "driver" for your phone online. I have seen in forums that people have had a hard time finding the necessary driver, but maybe soon HTC will have an updated one available.
Hopefully just reinstalling the program will work though.
