I just reformat my pc from someone i know..it was fine when after 2 days a message telling im might be a victim of counterfeit software and yet validation is a failure everytime i validate it.how can i...

This is due to the Product Key that has been entered is fake or invalid. The operting system will not tell you if it is a real key until the activation is attempted. I would suggest gaining a valid geniune copy of Microsoft Windows XP to remove the counterfit software icon.

YOU MAY BE A VICTIM OF SOFTWARE COUNTERFEITING

If this is the message you were getting then the license key on microsofts systems when it did a verification check was listed as counterfit.

Ive been able to call microsoft and tell them that this was MY KEY and it is what came with the machine and they were able to help resolve it.

If someone did reinstall XP then double check with that person on which key they used and the possibility exists you might have to buy another license.

I Want my destop Re-acvtive!

The software came with windows ? Are you sure it's Office Pro ? Or Student Edition ? If so, the license is invalid: Buy a new one or uninstall it. (Use a crack, bypass the license check. Not recommended)

Software counterfeiting

You have a Microsoft product on your computer that has an improperly activated or blacklisted key. Did you have the machine worked on recently? Did you buy the machine used? Did you buy the Microsoft product new from a store? If you bought a retail copy of a Microsoft product (say Windows or Office) installed it and got this message after activating it, TAKE IT BACK TO THE STORE YOU BOUGHT IT FROM. Reputable stores will exchange it for another (you wont get your money back since you opened it already). If you had work done to your computer before this happened, contact the person who did the work for a solution. If you bought the machine used and the product was already on it, chances are its improperly activated. Do resolve this soon; the machine will get slower and slower, and you can't download and install service packs and updates from Microsoft's website.
