You don't mention your model number. The manual for their Fuzzy Logic RZ-XMC10Y can be viewed here:

Hitachi 32LD30UB stuck on standby mode
The problem seems to be with the power supply. There might be bad or burnt components capacitors or rectifiers or fuse. Most of the times there are swollen caps which need replacement. Bad components are a result of heat or cold solders etc. If you remove the main board and boards defend from the power board and the power stays ON, then either the inverter or the main board. Before this you can try to open the back and clean the dust.
