with 300,000 miles it could be about anything...
my 1st thought would be a fuel filter

check air filter < clean or replace > check air mass, replace ,
check air Vacuum hoses if remove or cut out .check solenoid valve vacuum if working by S.w on and off (click sound when on )

It's most likely a vacuum line, look under your hood (close to the cowl panel) for a disconnected, cracked or broken vacuum line.

In some rear cases, it could be the vacuum switch (in dash). Or vacuum diaphragm (under dash).

checks the air flow selector but it sure do not have vacuum in the control panel and it works with vacuum from the engine has a small hose that is used for vacuum and this controls the gate that directs air to the places diferntes ...

It doesnt...could be a fuel problem, or even a vacuum leak. You dont say what year bike, but if its carberated, I'd check visually for a good gas stream/ check for **** in the tank...service the air cleaner as well. Check the fuel air mix and set the RPM's to 950-1000 at idle. If that doesnt do it, check the condition of all your fuel and vacuum hoses
