Generic mp4 players have terrible firmare and are not a good idea at all to buy. if you can, return it, if not, reset it by holding the power button or taking out the battery if you cann

Firstly, if your player is strictly an MP3 player, it will not play videos. MP3 is a music file format. The generic/umbrella term for video files is MP4 (MP4 is just one video format, but is not the only one).
To download files from your PC to your player, hook up the player to a USB port on your PC using the USB cable that came with the player. Once connected , the player will show up in Windows file explorer as a removable drive. Copy and paste the files you want to download on that removable drive using Windows file explorer or Windows Media Player or iTunes
