Need to reset toshiba nb505 to factory specs

RTM yet, read the manual
or ask Toshiba this,
I guess you mean reset the unstated, OS back to day one new as toshiba had it?
right. the manual tells you to make recovery disk.
and my guess you never did day 1 new. that it?
if yes, then you get to buy windows again.
8 year old PC so says the the manual.
so is not w8 nor w10 there,
it seems W7, right?
so buy W7 and install it.
or try w10 for free for 30 days, see if it runs,w10 does not like PCs too old.

page 50 shows " how to recover to the out of the box experience"
day1, all your data gone, all your apps gone. RTM or ask at toshiba forum we are not toshiba at all, not even close.... ok?

How to stop my mini Toshiba NB505 from flickering

sounds like a loose lead connecting up the screen, if you take it apart, look for a flat strip with metal lines on it going into a socket in the top half, from the bottom half.

The display on my toshiba nb505 went to the right of the screen. I can't reach the close x with the arrow anymore. What did I do wrong and hoe can I get the display to go back to normal ? Thanks in...

This is a common problem on net books. You can try playing with the resolution until the picture fits the screen again (that is often a resolution setting issue). To find resolution setting, right click anywhere on the desktop and click on 'properties', or 'personalize', whichever it shows, then 'Display' in bottom right corner. Good luck.

My Toshiba nb505 netbook run with the AC adapter, but will not run on the battery. The battery shows that it is charging but the charging percentage does not increase. Any advice?

I own the Toshiba NB505 netbook and the very same thing was happening to me. Here is what I did to fix my issue:
Step 1: Shut down the computer and remove the battery. Then turn it on but now with the battery out. It should say "battery not detected".
Step 2: Open control panel and open the "device manager". Under "batteries" (the first one), uninstall the one that says "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery". This is the battery driver.
(Don't worry. The computer will automatically re-install it)
Uninstall the driver and shut down the computer.
Then reinsert the battery and power on the computer. The driver should have re-installed itself. Check to see if the battery is now charging.
(It will take awhile for it to fully charge to 100% Best to shut it down and let it charge. The far left indicator light on the front of the Netbook will turn green when it is fully charged)
Hope this helps. Yeah I had to figure this one out on my own. Toshiba support staff over the phone were useless!
Good luck!!

2) go down and select your operating system3) click where it says "all categories" and select blue tooth.
4) two download links will appear. Download and install the second one first (driver package). Then if you have windows 7, download and install the first one (blue tooth stack) but only if you have windows 7. no need to install "BLUETOOTH STACK" if you have windows xp.

How do I reset the BIOS password for a Toshiba NB505-N500BL?

You can do this from the Bios itself. Depending on your system press either F2 or DEL during start up before the windows logo is displayed. Go to security and you can change the password there. You will have to have the current password in order to do this.
