Phillips dvd player recognizes usb flash drive but wont open it

might need to format the flash drive to the phillips dvd player. make sure you back up whats on the flash drive first. plug into dvd and format it. the player should ask you if you want to format flash drive. because when you format the flash drive it will erase all data on it. then reload the data back on the flash drive. try again

How to unlock region free on U.S sony bdp-s350

Sony BDP S350 bluray - unlocking to region free Yes, it is possible, but you'll need a programmable remote - most use the "one for 3/4/6/all". You can hack it by using the same code as for the bdp-s350. Follow the instructions exactly and it should work - mine does.

I put my dvdr phillips recorder on progresive scan no picture

You will have to reset the DVD player in order to undo the progressive scan option. Since you cannot see a menu to do so...

1. Unplug the dvd player from the outlet
2. Press and hold down the STANDBY-ON m button on the front of the Recorder while reconnecting to the power outlet.
3.Release STANDBY-ON m when ' ' appears in the display. All the information stored in the memory (programs, time, TIMER) will be reset (cleared).

Hope this helps with your problem, thank you for stopping by Fixya! Please leave a positive rating if this solution works for you.

FAC-FC7 DVD player is locked and the Standby indicator flashes

I had the same problem and searched FIX and found a solution for a Phillips DVD player that worked on my Sony DAV-FC7 dvd player. Someone posted that they called their Phillips Tech Service and was told to (a) unplug the dvd unit from the wall and wait 20 seconds, then (b) press the standby+plug the unit back into the wall at the same time and hold for 10 seconds. I did this for my Sony DAV-FC7 which would not power on nor eject (just red light on). IT WORKED!! after doing these steps, my SONY powered on and the rented DVD ejected. The dvd palyer works again. Thanks fellow FIXYA "posters".
