Yes you can and fromwhat i see you have the right connection on the monitor so you dont need any special adapters - you just need a 15pin VGA cable with audio (mini phono for audio) male for all connections on both sides of wire

connector should look like this

Connect Dell Mini with HDMI to VGA PC flat monitor

hi,
you would need an HDMI to VGA adapter. sometimes it would come in a form of a separate cable or just a regular adapter which would convert the HDMI end to VGA (the blue one that has 15 pins)
you can purchase these cables from your local computer store.
hope this helps

I dont have a power cord for a monitor a friend gave me....what kind do i need? Model# 780 Product# E17Tr

99% of monitors use a "standard" PC power-cable, exactly the same as is between your computer's power-supply and the wall outlet.

Go to any "Thrift Store", and don't pay more than $1 for a power-cable.

Screen appears to have magenta and cyan but lacking yellow. How do I check video cable to screen?

The issue could be related to your graphics adapter or the monitor itself. First try removing the graphics adapter from the Device Manager within your system and rebooting. If this doesn't resolve the issue, you may want to try resetting the monitor itself back to the default factory settings and you can only do this via the buttons directly on the monitor.

Does not start up with PC

Good morning! kindly review / check again the power / cable connections of your monitor to PC, as it might be loose, especially cable into the VGA connector/adapter. If still not operating, we may try to review the set-up settings of the monitor based on Operations Manual that commonly included when we purchased the unit. best regards

The connector on the monitor is different than my computer how can it be hooked up the monitor is a xerox xg-91d

Most tech stores have adapters for this kind of issue. Try BestBuy, CompUSA, or Radio Shack. I would call first and describe what two ends you need the adapter for, i.e. 15-pin male --> 15-pin male. If you are trying to connect an Apple device with a PC device, they have adapters for that too.

VIA Chrome9 HC IGP vs Samsung 940BW Plus (1440x900)

Assuming you're using the latest drivers from here , the next step would be to ask MSI for a bios upgrade that supports the higher resolution.

I want to connect my monitor which has a vga connection via a cat5e cable to my security camera which has a bnc connection on it

Hi,

With the indulgence of IB4G2008...

Not possible without a converter adapter at the same time signal losses, interference and noisy video if CAT5E cable used.

What I would suggest is to use coaxial cable (RG59) instead of the CAT5E. One end would be terminated with ta BNC male to connect to the camera. The other end would have to be terminated either with an RCA male. Before connecting to the VGA (15pin) input of the monitor, it would have to be processed by a converter/adapter. Here are some examples:
1. Composite Video to VGA adapter;
2. some high end adapters are shown here;
3. several shown here would also work.

In case you would like a DIY, this might interest you.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.
