This is what happen my wife click on the Fn an on the half moon at the same time and she close it. when she opened it the screen was off and the keyboard was on. there are two blinking lights one on top an another on the left side of the keyboard. Could you help me how to turn on my screen?

This problem is probably being caused by your operating systems power save settings. Try taking the battery out of the computer and restarting it. If this works, check your power save settings to prevent this from happening in the future.

On the keyboard you have to press Fn+the brightness key (picture of a sun or a half of it or moon).

Or search brightness in Start menu.

Examine the keyboard. There should be a symbol on most of the function keys (F1, F2, etc.). Look for one that looks like a sun or lightbulb, either with an arrow pointing up or with the sun/lighbulb filled in. Hold the 'Fn' key, and tap the up/bright sun/lightbulb key a few times. The screen should increase in brightness.

If you cannot find the specified keys, you may be able to adjust brightness from inside Windows. Right click on the battery icon in the taskbar and open 'power options'. Look for a sun and moon with a sliding bar between them. You might also be able to adjust brightness by customizing your desktop (right click on the desktop and look for the proper menu).

I had the same problem on my '96. After exhausting all avenues, forums, DYI pages, etc., I learned the motor had to be disconnected, then the moon roof clossed manually. It is not airtight, but it doesn't leak. I plan to replace the motor in the spring. Wish me luck.

Hold Fn key and hit the light key several times to increase the screen light.

You have to reset the windows and sunroof after you change the battery. For windows open the driver half way and close the window up and hold the up switch for few seconds. If that don't work open the rear window from rear switch and that should work.
For moon roof open the moon roof and keep the hold the open button pressed for 10 seconds. Then close the moon roof and hold the close button pressed for 10 seconds

your convergance board is about to go out. thats what happened to mine. it will cost about 300 dollars to get it fixed

The convergence circuit is your problem and most times with this model the convergence power supply bd. is the problem.

Usually the keyboards have an fn key. Press fn + the key that has the sign of moon at the same time.

Also you may try to close your laptop and open it up and see if that will wake up the computer. Somehow your power setting on battery are messed up.
