Hello, The button maybe stuck in the grew, try this very very carefully

  • Take a small pin and insert it in the gap between the button and the housing, then tilt the pin and slowly try to lift it up.
the button may come up loose and fall, which means the switch is broken. press and see whether it works.
if you got your warranty you may get it fixed for free :)

Dell unstick power button on PC desktop

It sounds like either the push button assembly is broken on the front bezel cover, or the power switch is broken. Follow these steps to take the covers off.

Front Bezel: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/insp620620S/Insp620/en/sm/bezel.htm#wp1181855

Side access cover: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/insp620620S/Insp620/en/sm/cover_re.htm#wp1193123

Now look for either a broken piece on the bezel push button assembly or a broken power switch inside the computer case.

Loaded a cd to upgrade firmware, firmware would not load. eject button would not eject. read manual, says to push eject at the same time you plug in the electric cord, still would not eject. Any...

Please try in this way.

Disconnect power.
Connect power back, and keep REPEATEDLY pressing the eject button while you connect. If still no ject press power on button while you keep hitting the ehect button. You need to press eject on the unit, do not use the remote.

If that does not work, then the unit must be taken apart.

My samsung l830 camera lens is stuck open and when i press the power button it beeps 3 times and remains blue then does nothing

If the lens on the camera is stuck out, look to see if it's a little crooked. If it is, try to gently straighten it. If it still won't retract, try to gently push it in as you turn the power on.
If it won't turn on (the green light blinks and it beeps 3 times) push and hold the 'power' button and the 'play' button at the same time for a few seconds - it worked for my S730. Good luck!

Digital camera power problem

First, is it charged?
Second, see if the screen says lens error...if it does then you might be holding the lens down when you try to turn it on.
If not, then maybe it is broken.
Hope this helps!

Cannot be turned on by power button, turns on with view pic button. Lens remain extended. Its just stuck in view pics mode

If these cameras are less than a year old then they are still under warranty, and Olympus repair shops( found on their website) will repair them for free minus shipping charges. The lenses probably have broken gears or have just been pushed out of alignment and can be repaired by someone mechanically inclined and very gentle with components. Can find good used and or possibly new lenses on ebay. Not that hard to replace.

Lens stuck open

hey, I had the same problem when I accidentally droped my camera, some parts in the mechanism are probably broken or jammed.

Most likely repairs required.

Power button

[I just posted this in another thread. I hope it helps.] My wife brought this camera home from work for me to look at. It had the sunken/broken power button problem.  The T-shaped hinge was broken where it connects to the power button section. I couldn't see any way to glue or repair it that would be strong enough so I came up with an alternate fix.
The actual power switch is below the broken button, just a touch below the "ON/OFF" text. I decided to make a button that pushed the switch directly rather than pivoting like the original.
I needed a push-button shaped object with a shoulder on it (so it wouldn't fall through the hole I was going to drill in the back). I ended up using a small green LED (3mm size I think). I drilled a hole big enough for it to move but not so big it would fall through. I cut the leads off flush with the body and sanded them flat. The hole I drilled lines up with the little bump on the original plastic switch piece.
So I put the LED in place, the original plastic piece over it and added a little bit of self adhesive felt (that you would stick on the bottom of something to protect your furniture) at the top where the silver button is (just to keep the original button from sinking inward). I put the back on the camera and checked that the power button clicked nicely. It did so I put the camera back together and it's as good as new.
And it has a snazzy green power button now.
So if you are handy you can probably fix the camera yourself.
Good luck - Greg

Lens stuck out; camera won't stay on

I have the same problem. Its actually because the On/Off button got pushed in somehow and its stuck. At this time right now, im not sure how to make it unstuck, but sometimes it will stay on. But when you push on, since its being held down, its stuck that way and immediately turns off because its still being held down constantly. Maybe try using a thing needle to try and push it out?
