I have the H715 but my iPhone only showed the H721 instead of the H715. I selected the H721, entered the passcode and connected. Called my home phone with the earpiece in and it works.

From user guide and other user comments...
Make sure the H7xx is fully charged up (not necessary but you'll probably begin to immediately use it and it would be bad to have it discon because the battery is dead). Turn off the H7xx (the ring around the talk button should not be flashing blue every few seconds), push the talk button, thats the oval button on the face of the headset, for about five seconds, until the ring around it displays a purple color. Immediately let go of the button and flip open the tiny microphone extension. Now it's in pairing mode and you can leave it while you fiddle with the iPhone.

From the iPhone main menu, select the "Settings" button, then in the Settings menu, select the "General" option.

Touch the "Bluetooth" menu item on the General menu. when the next screen appears, if your Bluetooth is already turned on it will start looking for (discovering) your H7xx. If Bluetooth is not turned on, slide the gray button so it displays "on" instead of "off". Your iPhone should now start discovering your H7xx. It should automatically find your H7xx, then display another screen that prompts you for a code. According to the manufacturer's guidelines, the H7xx requires you put in "0000" that is 4 (four) Zeros as the code.

If everything went well, the "Bluetooth" screen should be displayed again and the Motorola H7xx should show up under the word "Devices" showing that it is Paired.

Your H7xx should now also blink Blue around the talk button.

If things didn't go well. I suggest navigating back to the bluetooth menu. Turning bluetooth off on the iPhone. Flipping closed the microphone boom on the H7xx and starting over again. I had to do it twice because I fumble fingered the 4 zeros.

NOTE: it is not necessary to have the H7xx right on top of the iPhone, but I'd have it within an arms reach, just to be sure you get a good signal and you actually pair to your Bluetooth headset.

Once the iPhone has discovered the H7xx if it continues to state "Not Paired" simply tap the Motorola H7xx box and it will take you to the next screen. Enter "0000" as the security code. The iPhone should now successfully pair with the H7xx.

How do I connect to Ford Sync?

To use any of the phone features for SYNC such as making a call, receiving a text message, or using SYNC Services, you must first connect, or "pair" your Bluetooth-enabled phone. Pairing is what allows Bluetooth devices to communicate securely with each other.
Please note that SYNC can make and receive calls using only one paired phone at a time.

Before you start

There are a few things you should do before starting step 1:

Turn on your

  • Mobile phone
  • Vehicle
  • Radio/SYNC

blobserver?blobkey=id&blobwhere=1309207543650&blobcol=urldata&blobtable=mungoblobs&b=91
Enable your phone's Bluetooth feature and make your phone discoverable.

Press the Phone button to access the Phone Menu. Press OK. Add a Device displays. Press OK.

SYNC prompts, "Press OK to begin pairing device." Press OK.

SYNC prompts, "Search for SYNC on your device and enter the PIN provided by SYNC." Press OK.

A six-digit number displays on the screen for three minutes, during which time SYNC actively seeks for the same number from your phone.

Type the number displayed by SYNC on your phone key pad.
Upon successful pairing, a message displays confirming the phone is connected.

Exit the phone pairing process by pressing the Arrows to select the Exit message and press OK to leave the Phone menu.

Missing sync not connecting on my laptop

Wireless or USB? First thing to test is to turn off the PC firewall... you should also look in the Help section of Missing Sync on the PC, there is a 'Fix Connection' button. Go ahead and try to select that and also try to sync again as that restarts all the Missing Sync background processes. It will take a few seconds to restart things and you will get a popup letting you know when its done. Then, try to sync again.

If still not syncing, I would try to start the process over, from the beginning.

1. On your device, Unpair with the desktop (in Missing Sync)...if you are paired
2. Reboot your device
3. Reboot your desktop
4. Verify both device and desktop connected to the WiFi router and you have internet access (can browse the web)On the device, also check this: Settings>Wifi>Wireless Controls> Wifi.
5. Run the Setup Assistant, in Missing Sync on the desktop and it will generate a PassKey
6. Launch Missing Sync on the phone and enter this passkey, and hit the 'Pair' button
7. Now try to sync... Contacts and Calendar syncing are initiated on the phone and synced wirelessly (WiFi or Bluetooth) and not over USB .. Media syncs using the USB cable and its initiated on the desktop.

Cannot Sync music files

okay... :)

1. the PC needs a CD-ROM with the cell phone's drivers to help interface the sync process.

2. you could transfer the files via bluetooth if both cell phone and computer have bluetooth components built in them.

3. if the PC tells you the memory card is write protected, look for a tiny little lock/unlock switch in the edge of the card to undo the "protect".

Hope this helps...
