The 1018 series did not have USB. IF your machine has the network print option then it would only have a serial connection or an ethernet port. Should be on the right back corner. If it is not there then it may not have the print option.
I have the same problem. I use the USB, my client is far far away from me, and is better for me install the Ricoh using the USB. But the scanner don't work.
Maybe the only way is using a ethernet cable, but i dont want to drive so far... :(
If you have it connected by a CAT5 network wire, then the answer is no.
if you are using a usb 1.1 port on your computer to print to it, then that port is a slow port. I would recommend getting a faster 2.0 usb adaptor and using that port. It will print a little faster.
