Changing dvd region codes

You can't change the DVD coding. That part is how the DVD is recorded. However, your Mac will play DVDs from another region. It just typically defaults to one region. I have deleted the DVD player software (and preferences files) before and reloaded it to play DVDs from another region. If you plan to regularly play DVDs from multiple regions, you might want to look for special DVD software that will read DVDs from multiple regions.

How do I unlock the region code on my BDX2250?

sorry. I can't say because I don't know if you are fixing your car or stealing one. Best bet is to call the dealership or hit up google.

Dell n5010 dvd drive does not recognise dvd but will play cd's

Does this happen on all DVDs and CDs or only on some DVDs?
If this is happens on all DVDs then this drive is faulty and needs to be replaced.
If it only occurs on some DVDs then check the region code on the DVD player and the region code on the DVD, the region codes must match.
To play DVDs from any region the player needs to be a region free player or you need to install a region free program on your notebook/computer.
For details on making your DVD player region free, please click on this link and follow my instructions :-

The dvd player says "incorrect

The DVD player is region locked and will only play DVDs from a particular region. The cheap DVDs are probably region 0 and so will work on any DVD player. You can scour the internet for a code hack to change the region (I've had a quick look and not found anything).

Converting Toshiba HD E1 DVD player to codefree

Hey! It is possible to convert your Toshiba HD E1 DVD player to region free. But you need some DVD Copy software to help you remove the region code first and then burn it on a new DVD disc. Thus you can play it on your DVD player. I recommend you use this DVD Copy which is very esay-to-use.
If you want to watch your DVDs on PC or some portable palyer, you can use some DVD Ripping Software which can remove CSS protection from DVD and convert DVDs to video palyable on PC. You can have a try of this DVD Ripper.
Hope that helps.

Our Sony DVD player will not playimported DVDs from the UStates

1) those DVDs are coded in Region 1(Canada, United States; U.S. territories; Bermuda)
you will have to change the region code on the dvd-rom to region 1

2) if you bought the stand alone DVD player in the U.S. it will play region 1 dvds and nothing else(some dvd players will play region code 1-6)

3) to change the code in windows vista you'll have to go under the drive property's in the device manager go to the dvd region tab and set it to what ever the number on the back of the dvd is WARNING you only get 4 changes before the drive locks you out permanently then your stuck with what ever number you put in on the 4th try you've been warned

windows xp/2000/98/me
you'll have to change the region code from your software player again your limited on how many times you can change the region code before you have to reinstall the dvd player software

Can only play DVDs for one region code.

Most DVDs can only play DVDs from a single region. However, they sometimes allow you to change the region at least one time. Another option is to make your DVD player region free. This is a hack that can be performed. Once you do this, you can play DVDs from any region.
