Filter light amber on the front panel - Samsung RS2630SH Side by Side Refrigerator

You are going to get a range of opinions on this one. Some suggest a new power supply and others more invasivel repairs involving removal of the front panel and soldering!

For the Optiplex 320, a flashing amber light with no sound indication can mean 3 things.

1) Your power supply has failed

2) Your motherboard failed, most likely from a bad capacitor.

3) The front panel board (where the power button is located) is faulty or not connected properly.

I've worked with 10's of 1000's of Dell Optiplex's over the past 8 years and the flashing amber light is well known as a tell-tail sign of one of those three failure. Always start your trouble shoot with a PSU tester, then inspect the motherboard for domed or split/leaking capacitors...then on to the front panel which would require another panel and ribbon from the same model.

Had the same thing happen to me today and in my case it was a code 18 as they come...
It started while I was installing a video card adapter for a dual monitor setup. The solution - I had to simply close the side panel I had left open for testing and then reboot the server. The intrusion alarm went off.

Whoever told you that hasn't looked at the manual or the front panel.

Page 10 "PANEL DIM (button)

The front panel lights have four levels: bright, medium, low and

off (low intensity display with amber LEDs off)."

On models with a Filter Status or Filter Reset light/button, it is part of the water/ice dispenser panel. The button will be just above the light (usually to the left of the other buttons). Press and hold the button for at least 10-15 seconds until the green, amber and red lights flash.

Other models just use a sticker that should be placed on the front of the filter cup.

Red to the rear, amber to the front, no colors other than red or amber side lights read within 18" os back end and amber within 18" of front end. Any yhing else could, not will, get you cited or at least give a cop a reason to F*** with you.Now, can you what? :)

The Battery indicator LED is to the right of the power LED. Flashing AMBER indicates a fault with the Battery. To resolve, replace the system battery.

I had the same issue with my Dell Dimension 5150 and I replaced the front I/O USB Audio Panel and it booted right up.

Normally a bad power supply, but since you have changed that and the motherboard, the front IO panel is next.
