Your camera is talking about its internal memory. If you want the card to start working, you must get rid of the pics on the internal memory. With no card in the camera, go into the menu and find "format" and follow the on-screen instructions.

Kodak easyshare C143 "internal memory full" - but you've deleted everything! Delete or upload the pics on your internal memory, then press the right-pointing arrow button - picture review button - (bottom right hand side of the camera) and follow the directions to start storing on the card, rather than the internal memory.

SOURCE: camera says my memory is full

It can only take a 2gb memory card. anything higher than that it won't be able to use. The reason it's saying the memory is full is because it's still using the built in 15mb (something like that)

SOURCE: move pictures saved in camera to card

Best thing to do is upload them to your computer. The camera does not allow you to move from camera memory to card.

SOURCE: memory card is full but there are no pictures on my camera.

Try using the "format" option in your camera's menu. That should wipe the card clean. There's probably a file or folder that the camera can't recognize as being one it created. You might also plug the card into a card reader and open it on a computer. The format option on the computer will also wipe the card clean to start fresh in the camera.

SOURCE: every time i take a picture on my camera it says

Try this...go into the menu and scroll to "reset"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then, without a card in the camera, go into the menu and scroll to "format"...follow the on-screen instructions. Then if the pics on your memory card are safely on your computer (use a card reader to do this if necessary) insert the card into the camera, go into the menu and scroll to "format" and follow the on-screen instructions. After all this, you should be ok.

Olympus problems

Brenda, Although I only have a little to go on, I'll give it a try.
(only brand, not model)
Olympus camera's do have an internal memory, but just for a limited amount of pictures. When your camera says Memory full, this internal memory is full. You can place a memory card, or free memory, by deleting pictures. But don't delete a picture before you are sure you saved the picture on the computer or some other media.
If you want a memory card, check what type of card goes into your camera. When you place a memory card in the camera it has to be formatted (check the manual) but NEVER format a memory card, when you have any pictures in the internal memory, because you could loose all the pictures in the internal memory too.

Try formatting the SD card before using it.Also, check the storage destination of the pictures, could be they're storing on your camera and not in the memory card.Make the SD card the default storage device.

Hope it helps.

It keeps saying memory card is full. Bought a new memory card and put in and it still says the card is full.

Are you sure that isn't "internal" memory card is full message?

Sometimes, when "internal memory card is full" there is no more space in the camera's internal memory. Your camera has 16 MB of internal memory. The number of pictures you can store depends on the picture size setting you have selected on your camera. Keep in mind that the camera always uses internal memory, even if a card is installed (auto default).

If really, the problem is in the "SD memory card", I suggest make some backup all files and reformat the SD. Try formatting it in the camera, there should be a process in your owners manual for doing this; donw formatted SD in your computer, isn't good.

Hope helps.

I have a PowerShot A590 IS. I did try to format the memory card. I can take 7 pictures, then it says the memory card is full. How do I change the setting so I can take lots of pictures?

Are you sure it's saying the memory card is full? It may be telling you the internal memory of the camera is full. It's very small and only holds about 7 pictures.
