Hello Tina Kaha - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.
First
make sure that nothing is blocking the drain pump assembly located inside the
bottom of the unit, after this test the door lock-switch assembly. If the door
lock-switch is also fine then the control board should be replaced. Hope this
helps...please post back for further assistance.
typical problem for front load washer is that it stops when it comes to a rinse or spin cycle.there is something blocking the drain pump.in order to drain all the water out of the washer the best way is to use a wet dry shop vac. attach the vaccum to the end of the drain hose and remove all the water. once the water is removed the door should unlock.then you can access the drain pump from either the front or rear panel depending on the model you have.some models will have a access panel on the front to check to drain pump however if you do not see anything in the pump. then the obstruction is in the part of the drain hose that leads from the bottom of the tub into the drain pump.if there is no obstruction found then you need to check the wiring and make sure it is securely attach. last thing when all else fails replace the drain pump.

Hi, Make sure you are allowing the washer to completely finish its cycle before opening the door. It is normal for the door to lock at the end of a cycle. The locking mechanism keeps owners from opening the door before all of the water has been drained. If the door on the washer is locked, select the "Drain" or "Spin" options on the front-load washer. This will completely drain the water from the system and unlock the door, allowing you to open it. Thank you !!

Does water remain in the washer after the final spin?
If water remains in the washer after the final spin, then the door will not unlock. Drain/Spin or Spin Only to remove any remaining water from the washer. The door should unlock at the end of the cycle. Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light on?
If the Add A Garment light is on, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed once. Pressing the Start button will restart the washer at the same point where it left off in the cycle. Is the door locked and the Add A Garment light off?
If the Add A Garment light is off, then the washer door will unlock after the Pause/Cancel button is pressed twice. The door will not immediately unlock while the cycle is running due to a possible high-water level in the washer, high-water temperature, tumbling or spinning. It may take up to five minutes for the washer to stop spinning and draining before the door will unlock. You will hear the door click when it unlocks.
