Is a dtxplorer bought in the USA set for 110 volts and therefore do you need to get a converter to use it in a 220/240 volt country?

The PX-2 should work fine as long as you are on 120 or 110 volt service. If you have 220 volt power, you have done damage... likely to the PX-2 and probably to the power input circuits of the M13.
If you are on 220, then you need to use a TRANSFORMER type voltage reducer before going to the PX-2. If you are on 220, then replace the PX-2 and take the M13 in for service replacement of parts where the power comes in and is regulated.

I don't understand why you are plugging this into a 110 volt regulator.. If by chance you are trying to run this from 220 volt power, you DO NOT use a regulator or a converter intended to run hair driers and appliances. You need to use a step-down transformer from 220 to 110 or 240 to 120.
The V\Amp2 is a switching regulator and it will NOT like to be run from another switching regulator such as found in those cheap appliance type convertors.

The winding is center tapped. It generates +/-24.5 volts DC. Based on it being a capacitor input filter, we need a peak voltage about 1 volt higher to account for the droop of the capacitor and the .7 volt drop of one silicon diode...

Since we need 25.5 volts peak then we need that divided by 1.414 RMS out of ONE side of the center=tapped secondary... So our secondary voltage is 18 volts either side of center.

This has two 18 volt windings that you would connect in series and a dual primary you can set for either 120 or 240 input. About $19 US.

Test the amplifier with another sound source to make sure the amp is good. Use a guitar or anything to test.

The only simple way that I could think of is for you to purchase a STEP DOWN TRANSFORMER rated at 500 watt, 110 volts, 60cycle. The transformer inside that amplifier have four output 12v and 15v DC.2amps It will be hard to get the transformer for that! Hope that might help you! taah!

The voltage should NOT be a problem as usually these will operate down to 100 volts. If the keyboard is sounding correctely, that would indicate there is NOT a problem with voltage.

It is LIKELY that the connections to the LCD were damaged in shipping. There are many, many connections to the glass assembly and if dislodged will have lines across the display.

Repairing this is usually not something one can do unless very experience in electronics.

No one "glues" knobs on except inapt consumers. Make sure there is not a "set screw" in the side of it. If not, it just pulls off.
