There is nothing wrong with the black ink. Just run the head cleaning for better printing.
1. Go to printer and faxes 2. Right click your printer ( Epson Stylus Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner InkJet) 3. Click printing preferences 4. Click Maintenance Tab 5. Click Head Cleaning 6. Run head cleaning for 5 times then try printing.
Hi,
First of all please check the ink level. If it is not finished try followings:
First try to run a cleaning cycle. To do that:
- Load paper in the paper tray.
- Access printer utilities. (Right click your printer icon, select printing preferences and click the utility tab to access printer utilities)
- Click the nozzle check icon.
- Print to check it.
Then click the clean button to clean the print head.
- Try it a few times.
İf it doesn't help you can try to run power cleaning cycle.
But it uses much ink. There must be enough ink in the cartridge.
Hope this helps.
***hi there,il be willing to help you on that. ****
the nozzles of the printer might be clogged by dried inks thats why when your printing, its feeding the paper, as if its printing but no inks on the paper. print a nozzle check to see which part or color have clogs, if there are gaps or breaks, do head cleaning untill no more gaps then try printing.
Running a Printer Check You can run a printer check to determine whether a problem comes from the printer itself or some other source. 1. Make sure both the printer and computer are turned off. Then disconnect the interface cable from the printer. 2. Make sure letter-size plain paper is loaded in the printer. 3. Hold down the paper button, then press and release the power button. Continue holding down the paper button until the green power light starts to flash, then release it.
If your printouts are unexpectedly light, or dots or lines are missing, you may need to clean the print head. This unclogs the nozzles so they can deliver ink properly. Print head cleaning uses ink, so clean it only if quality declines. You can also clean the print head by holding down the ink button on the printer for three seconds. (This only works when the red ink light is off.) Caution: When you don’t turn on your printer for a long time, print quality can decline, so turn it on and print a few pages at least once a month to maintain good print quality.
***if my troubleshooting steps are helpful, pls vote for me, i will appreciate it, so that I can be a part of fixya, thanks, Godbless****
If you have fresh ink cartridges installed and you have run the head cleaning maintenance and still have problems then the problem is most likely the print head ink nozzles are blocked.
This occurs then the printer has not been used for some time. To keep the nozzels from blocking the printer should be used once a week or the clean head maintenance run weekly.
There is no option other than to buy a new print head, they are not cheap.
You may need new print heads. They are around $50. Or, you could do this: Take the print head out of the printer, and run warm water from the tap (not high pressure), over the ports for about 5 minutes. Ink will drop out of the jets. Dont touch the electrical contact end of this head. This may clean the head enough so it works again. If not you need a new print head.
Please follow the procedure your printer has which forces it printer to clean the print heads.
I have experience of other epson stylus models. I have previously spoken to epson about this exact problem. Repeating the head cleaning process a minimum 5 times cleared the problem.
Running head clean multiple times in succession builds up pressure in the print heads - causing (usually new) cartridges to work correctly.
kind regards
ARE YOU USING BROTHER INK??? I MEAN BROTHER OEM INK.? WHAT YOU CAN TRY IS TAKE A PAPER CLIP AND INSERT IT ABOUT 1/4 OF INCH INTO THE AIR HOLE ON THE CARTRIDGE, SOUNDS LIKE WHEN THE SEAL WAS TAKEN OFF, THE ADHESIVE FROM THE SEAL STAYED ON THE CARTRIDGE BLOCKING THE HOLDE. GOOD LUCK SR BROTHER TECH
blank pages and bad print are not the same problem. Regarding costly ink, a epson printer tech told me once that the secrete to cleaning a bad print head was to run deep clean 7 times in a row and then a head test and it has worked for me several times on other printers (not an expert here, just personal experience).
Additional note, I have seen both cleaning chemicals and cleaning cartridges on the web, example, searching google for one for my printer I would search for cc-bci-6c which is for a canon cyan cleaning cartridge. Don't know if they work but in case it helps.. good luck.
open your list of printers. r/click on the 780 and open properties. fo to the last tab "maintenance" and run cleaning 2 or 3 times then run deep cleaning 2 or 3 times. and see how this helps. If you've never done it before you might want to take out the print head and clean it with alcohol. Take out all the ink like you were changing them then reach in and gently pull out the container that holds the ink. This is the print head. Clean it and replace it, then run clean and deep clean again. run Nozzle check to see how clean it's become and you'll definetly see a difference in your printing.
good luck
