The switch is fine
the switch in all dryers triggers a relay, that then latches and supplies current to motor and heater, until deactivated by door switch or timer switch
inside the control panel,
trace the wires from the start switch to the first device
press start button but wont stay on - c27eaf9.jpgmay be opaque.
ensure that the wires are all connected.
if all are connected replace relay
the local part store will have the relay it is common to most dryers
Cant give exact instructions, no experience with particular model

I have a ravenheat combi boiler how do i reset timer so the heater and water stay on all the time

To reset the timer on a Ravenheat combi boiler so that the heating and water stay on all the time, you will need to follow these steps:
  1. Locate the timer/programmer on your boiler, which is usually located near the control panel.
  2. Press the button labeled "Program" or "Timer" to enter the programming mode.
  3. Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the desired on and off times for the heating and water.
  4. To keep the heating and water on all the time, set the on time to 00:00 and the off time to 24:00.
  5. Press the button labeled "Program" or "Timer" again to save the new settings and exit programming mode.
Please note that if you want to keep the heating and water on all the time, it will be more energy-efficient to turn off the boiler or lower the temperature instead of leaving it on all the time.

Grundig s350, installed new batteries and radio keeps shutting off by itself

When you press the Power/Sleep button the radio turns on and displays a number 90, or some other numbers. This is the play time that the radio will stay on then turns itself off. It could be that yours is configured with a sleep timer set to 01 minute, 10 or 15. You need to set the timer for a longer period. Thus we turn it on by pressing the Power/Sleep button, read the timer length then press again. Keep making short presses: The timer will cycle through all preset sleep timer durations. Select the length you want.

For GE- 15117, Mode acts as a controller called "an On or Off override..." "or sets events to Automatic or random" Random = a +/- program shift (that's understandable). You'd think...

I cannot make precise sense of your question.
However I agree, the manual for GE 17117 is not clear.

1) A number of folks are writing in about this particular timer, with same MODE problem as you.
Some folks, the timer skips over auto.
Some folks the timer just doesn't come on.
Facts are facts, some timers are busted on arrival.

But let's look at the problem from three different directions and see if it helps:

2) Steps from manual:
When you finish programming, press clock button to return to current time.
Next set MODE.

Press MODE button and timer enters override ON-OFF. Override reverses whatever program is operating at that moment.
Press MODE button again and timer enters RDM random mode, and lights turn on-off randomly.
Press MODE button again and timer enters AUTO >>> auto is correct setting that lets programs run.
Here's the trick: after setting MODE to auto, press clock button again and current time displays.
If timer will not perform these steps, then timer is suspect

If timer performs these steps, but programs won't work, the timer is suspect or programming is suspect.

3) Check programming for conflicts and overlaps that cause timer not to function 'as expected.'
Some timers skip over conflicting programs, some timers simply stay on, others stay off.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/GE-15117-Manual.pdf

Example of conflict is event1 ON at 7am TU > but event1 OFF at 11pm All-days. Both event1 ON and OFF events must have consistent days >>> so change TU to All-days.
Another example is event1 ON 7am OFF 11pm TU >> but event2 says opposite, or has overlapping times.

I suggest folks make a schedule of programs before starting.
To review and change programs, start with current time showing in display: Press PROG button and scroll through event1 ON, event1 OFF, event2 ON, event2 OFF, etc.
Write down the events and make a chart.
Look for overlaps, and check for days of operation, and make sure each event ON has corresponding event OFF

4) If events are correct, and timer MODE button functions, but timer still doesn't work, the final suspect before calling the timer busted, is circuit problem. Use circuit analyzer on receptacle. Or plug timer into receptacle on different breaker and see if problem persists.

Just hooked up my new Magnavox DV220MW9 DVD Player ? VCR Recorder. I was able to set the time and a vcr timer program but now I can't switch the source. It now comes on as the DVD but neither the remote...

You need to release the timer to access the VCR. Press the Timer Set button on the remote or the Stop/Eject button on the recorder. Then press the VCR button.

Please note: the scheduled recording will not run as programmed unless you press the Timer Set on the remote again. (The timer locks the VCR until the scheduled ON time.) The DVD player is controlled separately and becomes the default unit.

I hope this helps.

Power went off now oven wont work. The timer keeps flashing

If you look at the timer control you will see a button that is used to set the clock. most likely the oven will not operate until the time is set. Press the clock button, set the time and either press start or the clock button again.

How can i recall multiple laps during a run?

The Timex Ironman 30 Lap also has a stopwatch that can be used to keep track of split times for racing sports like running or cycling. Press the "Mode" button until the display shows "Chrono," then press and hold the "Set/Recall" button. To start the timer, press the "Start/Split" button. It will continue to run even if you exit to another mode. Pressing the "Stop/Reset" button will stop the chronograph. To record a split time, press the "Start/Split" button again while the timer is running. To see your split times, press the "Set/Recall" button while the watch is in Chrono mode. You can then scroll through the various splits with the plus and minus keys. Press "Set/Recall" again to exit display mode and return to the timer.
