Sadly the only solution is to create a new email address for a different account, Facebook does not allow you to use two DIFFERENT accounts on ONE email.

If you are using gmail, it may be possible to register two different Facebook accounts as gmail can be displayed as two different emails. There is a solution for that here:

However, I cannot speak to whether or not this information is reliable.

I want to access the sign in page. Every time I go to facebook it comes up with my husbands page. I want to sign in with my oqwn email and passwordLogin

If your husbands Facebook is automatically shown before you get to the login screen, he will need to log out of Facebook first and then you will need to uncheck the 'Keep me signed in box' at the main sign in screen.
You could also just create your own user account on the computer and your saved password, preferences and bookmarks will be seperate from his.

Hope this helps

MY HUSBAND WANTS TO JOIN FACEBOOK BUT IT DOESN'T ALLOW HIM BECAUSE AN ACCT ALREADY EXISTS UNDER OUR EMAIL ADDRESS. CAN YOU HAVE TWO FACEBOOK ACCTS UNDER ONE EMAIL? WHAT TO DO? THANKS!!!!

Hi Welcome to Fixya!
Apparently, he really will not be able to create an account using the same email address. I would suggest you guys creating another email address because it requires one email address for one Facebook account. So just create another email address and sign up with Facebook.
Hope this would be a big help!

I am already on FB,now my wife wants to join with her own E-mail ID?

hello, Yes you can join facebook with your own email ID anytime free of charge, you only need the email address of the owner goto www.facebook.com.
in the home page you need to fill up few personal information followed with a valid email address and a safe password.
after filling the necessary information click sign-up button to join. you will then get a confirmation email to the email address you used to sign up.
click the confirmation link in the email and login into your facebook account, you only need the email address and the password to login.

My wife and I share an email address. Can we have two seperate facebook accounts with one email address?

No, an email address is used to identify one - and one only - account on facebook. One of you will need to open another email account.

If you need a specific word or name in your email address, (example: [email protected]) try opening an account with another provider such as AOL. (example: [email protected]).

Anyway, facebook only allows one (specific) email account for each facebook account.

My wife Can't signup for Facebook-has same email address

1) Create a new email for you wife.
2) Make sure that you sign out if you wife want to sign in. Go to facebook main page (http://www.facebook.com) instead the login page.
3) If the steps failed, the easiest way is to clear your private data on the browser.

Cheers

My wife started a Facebook account and used our email address as an alternate. I now can't get into my account because it only recognizes her at our email address. She even deactivated it but when I try...

My wife started a Facebook account : does it mean u have created a seperate account in ur name ?

solution : 1 if so , u must have got the activeation mail : please check ur inbox and junk folder . if u dont find the activation/confirmation mail from face book , then looks like ur alternate mail has been used primary contact :

solution 2 : ask ur wife to login to her accout and then later log off .

then sign in with ur personal account and see if the creadentials are valid .

(u can view 2  diff account on the same browser , unless 1 of the account is logged off ).

would b glad know more about it .,

good day .

I deleted my facebook account on accident

You can only sign up for one account per email address. Facebook sends a notification to every email address associated with an account when someone has been able to register one of the addresses on the account. This happens when a person clicks on a link sent to the email address when creating a new account, or when adding the address to an existing account.
I have checked tons of solution sites and cannot find an answer except to contact Facebook at 650-543-4800 or on [email protected]
