Here you can find parts for a lot of Proform equipment. I would try to find your specific model there and see if they have it.

Dyson DC 25 power shuts off in upright position

To clarify, do you mean the suction and brush motion shut off in the upright position, or that the entire unit shuts off?

If the latter, most Dyson uprights shut off the brush unit in the full upright position and shunt the suction into the handle for use with the accessories. There is also an on/off for the brush, next to the main power button for the DC25. If it's off ( or stuck that way), no brush motion. The manual also notes, 'for use, turn on power and click the foot pedal in back to recline the unit.' (Link to manual here:
http://www.dyson.com/medialibrary/files/dyson/support/downloads/uk/floorcare/manuals/DC25_Manual.pdf See Page 8). The
'High Reach Cleaning' section also notes that the brush bar won't rotate when the vacuum is in the full upright position.

If you are completely losing power, the manual notes that the unit will shut off if the bar is jammed, or if there is a significant line blockage that makes the motor overheat. If this is happening, check the accessory line in the handle for blockage.

Good Luck :-)

Handlebars won't stay upright

The part that holds the handle bars on is called the Head-set this should have adjustment screw/screws they may have a small plastic cover over them to prevent rust. They are usually require an Allen wrench to tighten them. If they become loose again then get some locktight and use this on the handle bars and the threads of the bolts before you tighten them up.

About alternator replacement for 2001 vw beetle gls...I've removed the upper and lower bolts... What am I missing? Alternator still won't budge. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

all the bolts removed then all thats holding it is the adjustable tube in on the lower fitting ,put a bar in and try moving it then it will move as on the lower fitting with the long bolt is a tube in the alternator housing bracket and this is pulled or pushed out to make contact with the support bracket .Check you havent got three bolts holding it as some vehicles have two bolts on the bottom bracket or one long one

The battery won't move after I take the terminals loose and the crossbar above it. What do I do know?

There may be a hold down clip. It is usually a 10mm or 12 mm bolt. it will be in the center at the bottom of the battery. Remove this clip and bolt and you should be able to move battery

HP Pavilion vertical scroll bar resists pointer movement, moves erratically on its own

If you're using a ball mouse: Take the ball out and rub it on your jeans. Then clean the rollers while holding the mouse upright. Side to side motion will remove any gunk.
If you're using a laser mouse: Get a solid mouse pad. Repeating patterns (as in stripes or text and wood grain) cause mouse to get confused.

The handle bars slip and tightening the nut doesn't work.

when you tighten the nut on the handlebar be sure the nut does not turn the bolt you may have to hold the bolt with a vice grip

If you are sure it is as tight as you can get it and the handle bar moves you may have to losten it and put a shim between the handlebar and the clamp throat

Also, the handlebar does go down into the forks this controls the side to side movement of the handle bars when you tighten this bolt it keeps the unit tight into the forks

Royal upright handle fork spring replacement

This is actually fairly normal, and there's no real easy way to get that bolt out. Your best bet is to continue turning it as if you were unscrewing it while applying pressure to the opposite end. A narrow piece of metal can help, especially if coaxed with a ballpeen hammer. If possible, you can try to apply some pressure upward on the spring to keep it from holding the bolt too tightly, but this only works about half the time.
Getting the bolt back into place is also something of a nightmare, as you have to use your thumbs to hold the new spring in place while forcing the bolt back into place. I've had indentations on my thumbs from holding that spring many times.

Good luck,

-R
