That's frustrating.... here's one possible solution. Uninstall driver and try downloading driver from website. click HERE. select your printer and OS of computer that you are using then download and install updated driver.

Here is a link to driver for your Epson Stylus C88 Printer. Look at the very top of the page where it says "Drivers and Downloads" Select your Operating System and it will take you to it.

EPSON STYLUS C90 CISS INCOMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE!!
The cartridge may be defective, as I seen this numerous times, try buying another cartridge from a diffrent retailer and make sure the tape is removed before installing the cartridge.
If this works, you can contact Epson if it is there OEM cartridge that is defective for a refund or replacement.
