Sometimes the batteries for these camcorders just go bad. There's nothing you can do to fix the battery itself, but you can find them really cheap online. If you don't think the battery is bad, and you just don't know how to charge the battery, you can find the manual on Panasonic's site. You can click support, and there will be a place to enter the model number. It will be on the camera, probably on the bottom. If you enter a model number that doesn't fetch results, try a different number (or combination of letters and numbers) until it does find results for your camera. Most of these small cameras have a small door, or attached cap that you have to pop up and open with your fingernail (they are small, so look carefully, most likely around the bottom or back of the camera). Plug the charger in and wait to see if the battery charges. If it does, the Palmcorder will stop turning off a few seconds after you turn it on.

I have a Panasonic PV-GS85 palmcorder. The cassette mechanism will not release. When I open the hinged door, I hear a click and then nothing. Is there a manual release for the cassette?

In the Panasonic PV-GS85 palmcorder, there is typically a manual release option for the cassette mechanism. Here's what you can try to manually release the cassette:
  1. Ensure the palmcorder is turned off: Make sure the power is turned off before attempting any manual release.
  2. Locate the manual release switch: On the palmcorder, look for a small lever or switch near the cassette compartment. It is usually labeled "Eject" or "Manual Release."
  3. Engage the manual release: Use your finger or a small tool (such as a pen or paperclip) to gently slide or press the manual release switch. Apply gentle pressure in the direction indicated (usually towards the open position) while pressing the switch.
  4. Open the cassette compartment: While holding or engaging the manual release, try to open the cassette compartment by gently pulling it open. The manual release should override any locking mechanism and allow the compartment to open.

Do anyone know how to fix the Panasonic Palmcorder PV-L452D VHS-C Camcorder. Mine was working until I heard a funny sound then it shut off and won’t turn on again. I just bought the camera.

Question edited for clarity.

The only thing you can check is the battery voltage and that it is fully charged. For anything else you will need a Panasonic Service Centre.

$18 on eBay!!

Nautilus 12volt battery charger defunct! No signs of activity! Should I consider it as garbage now or is it worth trying to fix electronic hardware?

Sometimes "intelligent" chargers will not start charging if a battery is too flat, but usually there will be at least a light showing that there's power to the charger.
You could try jumping a good battery across the one you want to charge to get things going (+ve to +ve, -ve to -ve).
If it's broken it's usually worth a look if you can get it apart. Look for a blown fuse, bad solder joint, wire broken, something burnt out etc. You might be able to fix it.
Don't plug it in while it's apart unless you are certain that nothing will short out and that you will not touch any live wires!

Oldsmobile alero intermittant prime

The way the system works is fairly simple.
The computer grounds the pump relay for 3 or 4 seconds when the key switch is turned on. If the engine does not produce oil pressure the pump power is cut.
If you have changed the relay and the problem persists, I would expect the problem to be in the computer.
The pass key system prevents the starter and fuel injectors from working. I don't think it controls the fuel pump relay.
Did you mean to say you had to wait 10 min before turning the key switch on a second time, or did you leave the key switch on for 10 min ?
You could probably use a low voltage tester or VOM to check the signal from the ECM, but the tool you use may cause the relay to come on in place of the signal.
The other three circuits are power from the battery, power from the key switch, and the line out to the pump. One of those could be faulty, especially the one from the key switch. But other things should be not coming on too if that were true.

hai, If you are service engineer you can do this problem, Please, check the cassette IN sensing Switch. The place of the Switch is right side of the mechanism, Clean S/w with IPA solution & check. It will be ok or other wise you have replace s/w or mechanism.
