You said when if the game starts the controller goes off.try holding the sync button on the wii console for 15-20 seconds then resync all controllers. If it doesn't work try this:Start the donkey kong game then press the home button then go to the wii remote settings it has an icon of a remote then after you enter it find the reconnect then press 1-2 simultaneously to select who is the first player. If it doesn't work try resynchronizing it as the first controller.Hope this helps.

OK, i got a new wii remote, set it up, and now none of my wii remotes are working including the one i just set up.

Try these two synchronization processes and if it still doesn't work than contact me:
  1. Press the Power button on the Wii console to turn it on.

  2. Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii console. Remove the battery cover on the back of the Wii Remote you wish to sync up.

  3. Press and release the SYNC button just below the batteries on the Wii Remote; the Player LED will blink. Quickly press and release the SYNC button on the inside of the SD Card compartment on the console.

  4. When the Player LED blinking stops, the syncing is complete. The LED that is illuminated indicates the player number (1 through 4).

  5. This procedure must be followed for each additional Wii Remote added to your system.

    One Time Mode Synchronization
Press the HOME Button on a Wii Remote that is synchronized with the Wii console.

  1. Select the Wii Remote Settings option from the Home Button menu.

  2. Select the Reconnect Option.

  3. Press the 1 and 2 Buttons at the same time on the Wii Remote that you want to synchronize with the console. If you are syncing multiple Wii Remotes, press the 1 and 2 Buttons on each Wii Remote immediately (without a significant pause) in the order you want them synced. The order in which you synchronize Wii Remotes determines the player order (1 through 4) for multiplayer games. The Player LED will blink during the syncing process. When the blinking stops, the connection is complete.

How do I connect the 2nd wii controller for donkey kong country returns? It does not allow the 2nd controller (two players) to play the game

First, make sure the 2nd controller is paired with your Wii. Then make sure you're in 2 player or co-op mode. I think when I played it all we had to do was turn on a 2nd controller and Donkey Kong automatically added the 2nd player in.

We can't get two player mode to work in Wii Star Wars. We press the + on the 2nd controller and the player will not drop in. The blue lights show the controller is working. Why is this not working?

Press the home button, select Wii Remote settings, select reconnect, and press the 1 & 2 buttons at the same time on the Wii Remotes you want to connect. - I just did this and it worked a treat.

How do I add a 2nd remote to Donkey Kong Country Returns. Add/Drop feature does not work

  1. establish your first 'New Game' using only one remote.
  2. restart game
  3. Select a file to use.
  4. Select "2 Players" and a screen will prompt you to sync your second remote. Press and release the A button on the second Wii Remote and you should be set to go.

Can't get second player to add in donkey kong on wii. any tips?

Waiting to try it, but people are saying to get into the multiplayer mode first, and when the menu pops up that tells you to connect the second remote, either go to the home menu and 'reconnect', or use the red sync buttons on the controller and wii console.

SNES Controller 2 Port Not Working

The 2nd Player controller port just might be shot. That or the part of the main board that deals with the 2nd controller. My suggestion is purchasing another controller board (the main board and controller board are separate and easily removable pieces) and switching them out. If the problem persists then the SNES's main board probably has an issue.
