Disconnect power from circuit breaker or unplug power cord before starting. The filter in the hotpoint aquarius 1200 is in the front bottom side, hidden by a trim panel. Remove the trim panel at the bottom of the front side and find the access at the right hand side. Keep a large flat container ready to collect water from drain filter.

if you are talking about the top panel there are three screws in the back at the top of that panel remove and slide the panel backwards and it should raise right up.

Seems like a blockage or maybe pump worn out. Fill machine and take grey outlet pipe on rear of machine. Place this pipe as low as possible into a bowl. If water flows free from this pipe then your pipes are not blocked and most likely you will need to change your pump. Before you try this just put machine onto spin and ensure this will work when machine is almost empty

sounds like something is jamming the pump, strip pump down and clean

what you need to do is say 'abracadabra' 3 times , then swear allegience to the queen always remembering Glasgow Rangers are the best ..hee hee

Try unplugging it and rubbing the plug on a soft dry cloth, static electricity can cause problems.
Try opening and closing door acouple of times, if still no luck , suggest you call engineer

Could be the plug itself, or door interlock switch, try cutting off plug replacing Interlock cost is around 20GBP.

interlock may be stuck try changing that

it may be the interlock but is more probably the control PCB in the fascia, this is not a DIY repair as it requires programming when replaced.
