My suggestion is to put the 2 cartridges next to each other and look at them as closely as you can. There has to be a difference between the one that works and the ones that give the error. Something that just occurred to me. Check the slot where the black cartridge sits. Check it for something that could have fallen off the original cartridge and is wedged in the slot. Compare the slot with another cartridges slot. Because one cartridge works and others don't, it tells me it's a physical(hardware) problem not electrical.

You have to replace the colour cartridhe, The printer has detected something wrong with the current one.(If you have already cleaned the contacts of the cartridge)
The Lexmark machines are designed to kick out anything it suspects may be refilled. If your old cartridge has bad print nozzles this may be tripping the error. Printers are typically for sensitive with their color cartridges anyway because the manufacturers make more money on the color ones. You can try looking around the settings on the machine and in the printer preferences to see if you can tell it to ignore the ink levels and see if you can continue to print.
Is this a manufacturer cartridge or a knockoff? Knockoff cartridges can for sure cause that message. If it is a new one, it is possible it may be the wrong one. Check your manual. If this is also not the problem, then your printer has an internal problem and needs repair. Hope this helps. Cheers.
There seems to be something wrong with the color cartridge that i had refilled. Even though the place that refills them says theres nothing wrong with it, the printer wont accept it. I just removed it :) thanks!
