We own the LG DLE2514W front loading dryer. Drying clothes no longer efficient. Cleaned the intake at back of dryer and checked for obstructions in exhaust pipe, still not as efficient as a few weeks ago. By the way, we've owned the dryer for 5-6 years with impeccable results. What's the next step?

My LG front loading dryer doesn't dry well

Check the exhaust vent when running and be sure there is a good flow of air. You may have to clean the exhaust pipes all the way through. Dryers require a good flow of air for proper operation.

My LG dryer seems like it is not drying clothes as well. In what used to be a standard amount of drying time, the clothes are still damp. Could the heating element be going out.

I would check your venting to make sure its not clogged. This will cause longer dry times because the dryer cant efficiently remove moisture. Just go outside and feel the air coming out it should be fairly strong, if not the replace or clean your vent line. Good Luck

LG DLE2514w electric dryer has loud thud every turn

Hi,
Most model dryers are supported at thge rear of the drum with a bearing configuration, but usually the front of the drum is supported by some lining pads or guides. These help hold the rotation of the drum concentric. It sounds like your drum is not spinning concentric. My guess would be that some new guides might need to be installed.
Hope this helps...

It takes at least 2 60 minute cycles to dry clothes. Not even 2 years old yet. Not a new problem has always been this way. What is the deal.

Check the blower fan which is mounted underneath the drum on my DLE2514W front loading LG dryer. I experienced poor drying along with a loud thump at the start of each cycle. At first I thought it was a bad roller but later found that the blower fan had separated from its bracket so it was not turning with each turn of the moter but rather spinning freely.

Dryer LG 6DTD3120

You should change it back to regular gas the problem is in pressure reg gas come to your home at much greater pressure then propane that's why it takes longer to dry the other thing is to keep your lint trap clean because it can affect drying once in while blow out lint hose as well

Maytag dryer

Dear sloika,
I do not believe the problem lies within the dryer unit.
when the dryer unit fails to dry clothes in reasonable time 90% of the time it is the clogged air vent is the reason.
Dryer vent cleaning improves the safety and efficiency of your dryer installation. As dryer vents become filled with lint and other debris, drying time increases and can cause the dryer itself to overheat. This increases energy consumption since the dryer has to run longer to dry your clothes and can also cause fires in the dryer or the dryer duct. The Consumer Product Safety Commission reports dryer related home fires are on the increase.
  • First check your vent hose between the back of dryer and the air outlet on the wall. Vaccum clean the dirty hose and even into the dryer unit using flexable vaccum attachment. also try to vaccum clean airoutlet that goes into your wall as far reach into and much as possible. The dryer's lint filter and its path needs to be cleaned as well.
  • If all air flow path are cleaned it will improve 200% of your drying time.
There is also professional dryer vent cleaners in your area who can help solve the problem. just check your yellowpages..

Good luck!
