When choosing a concealer, you should consider both consistency and color. If you are covering undereye circles, you should choose a concealer that provides major coverage. Yellow-toned products are the best for covering up undereye circles while orange-based tones blend best into dark or black skin. Choose a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundation. Remember that getting a shade that is exactly the same as the color of your skin tone will make your concealer too dark once you have applied foundation and/or powder on your face. However, if you choose a concealer having a shade that is too light, you risk looking like a raccoon.
Trying out testers on department store counters would really be of great help. Remember that concealers are products that are non-returnable.
