If it was a downloaded software get in touch with where you got it from. If was a boxed software. Try reinstalling it. It might suggest that it's already installed, and ask if you wish to repair or remove it.
Go for the repair option. If it still doesn't work, go for the remove option then and the reinstall from scratch.

My parents ran into this same issue this afternoon. After a bunch of trial and error over the phone, here's the solution:
1. Go to the Start Menu and open Computer (used to be called My Computer). 2. Browse to c:\Program Files (x86)\Nova\Print Artist Platinum 3. Right-click on Print Artist.exe and create a shortcut 4. Drag the shortcut to the desktop 5. Double-click on the new shortcut to start the application. 6. Delete the non-working shortcut.
Since I was working with my parents over the phone, some of the file names may be slightly incorrect. However, this should be close enough to get you working.

I have the same problem. I emailed Nova support and the first reply had a link to Dotnetfx3.0. He said install that and it would fix the problem. I'm running Vista and I discovered after trying to install this version of Dotnet framework, that 3.0 is already integrated into Vista. They should have known that because I told them what platform I was using in my original support request. The next suggestion was to install dotnetfx3.5 which I did along with it's service pack to no avail!! I really don't think their support staff is too computer savy! Their last response when I told them that didn't work either was pretty much "sorry". Anyway, I haven't given up and am concentrating on the dotnet connection. I'll post here if I happen upon a solution.
