Diagnostic Test Indicators When an error occurs, the POWER LED will flash a set number of times to indicate the possible cause of the problem. If there is more than one error, the LED will identify the first of the problem areas. If the errors occur simultaneously, the one that corresponds to the fewest flashes is identified first. I had a similar problem with my 42 Inch Philips 42PLF5432D/37 LCD HD TV. It would turn on but then shut back off after about 10 seconds. Then it wouldn't turn on at all. The problem was a bad capacitor. Several bad capacitors. They are inexpensive and fairly easy to replace if you don't mind digging around in the back of your set and soldering some new ones on your Power Supply Board. Or take the less inexpensive route and look for a whole new Power Supply Board. Good luck. Hope this helps.
