SOURCE: My PC is not detecting the wireless Access Point
make sure guest mode is set on the ssid so that it will broad cast.
SOURCE: configure cisco aironet wifi
if ur using IOS autonomous AP, then u'll need to configure the bvi interface to get an ip address and then enable the interface. once it has an ip, u'll need to configure the ssid, vlan, etc - choices include doing so with the CLI or web page GUI. U'll need to enable the built-in web server then u can access it via the web interface to setup the ssid, any vlans, radius, etc. good luck.
SOURCE: Ip address for clients using autonomous cisco 1130ag witout dchp
the cisco1130ag will provide ip addresses and serve as a DHCP server for your laptops...
You still need an IP address for your 1130ag so either your ISP provides you a static ip that you can put in the 1130 or if your ISP provides dhcp then you should be able to plug and play with your 1130ag
SOURCE: Problem with the Cisco Aironet
Hello,
Please ensure that:
1.The wireless access point is not in close proximity to a source of interference,e.g a microwave transmitter or microwave oven.
2.Ensure that it's not placed in an area prone to physical obstruction, e.g behind a high wall or where people pass through(because our bodies have water which absorbs such waves!).In that case, re-position the wireless access point to another area, e.g a roof top.
3. If the wireless access point is in vicinity of other wireless access point, ensure that CSMA (Collision Sense Multiple Avoidance) scheme is enabled for the device.
I hope these solutions solve your problem.
Have a great time ahead.
