There is a DEC "fix that you can buy at scopestuff.com here:

http://scopestuff.com/ss_ezck.htm

Complete dis-assemble instructions are available here:

http://jan.eaglecreekobservatory.org/

Yes it is possible to adjust them.... but you will need to dis-assemble part of the telescope to get to both worm gears.

My Ford focus will shift into 1 gear when it is in second gear the car just reeves up and don't go anywhere

If you have been driving it like that, with it revving (slipping)
you pretty much ruined any change of a solution, other than
to pull the trans & rebuild it

How old is it?
Has the fluid been changed every 3 years since new?
How long has it come out of gear, slipped, etc?
How many miles on the transaxle?

Stop using it now & have it diagnosed
or be prepared to spend $3,500

2002 rav4 sliping between 2nd and 3rd gear

The transmission is 12 years old, so unless it was replaced
once, I would say with ANY slipping, you bought someone else's
failed transmission

That is a normal occurrance

Why,well-- no one changes trans fluid every 3 years,so they fail

Just like you have power steering problems from not doing that
fluid every 3 years & brake problems from not changing that fluid every 2 years

Lack of knowledge & lack of preventative maintenance, that's
why things fail to last as long as they should

There is no solution or fix involving the changing of fluid on an
automatic trans

The fluids are changed only because they loose their ability to
remove heat, thus the trans fails. There are some other known
design features or flaws in all transmissions & some technical
issues, but the old fluid takes them out

Wrong fluid is common, one size fits all is what you get 50% of
the time I would say & thus shortened life as a result.

So you up against a rebuild or installing a reman to the tune
of approx $3,000 or more

BEFORE you pull any trans, you have a shop road test the car
with a scan tool & do some diagnostic work
Maybe a failed shift solenoid will be the fix, but if you have been
driving it with any slipping the internal clutch damage is done,
maybe before you got it

2007 chevrolet equinox transmission slipping

Odd question

You have a vehicle barely 6 years old with
a failed transmission & now can not use it at all

Once they slip your done
Has to be rebuilt

Did you not change the fluid ever 3 years?

That may cost you $3500 verse $80 for a fluid
change 3 years ago & again now

Can't change it now it slips,it will get worst

Procedure to set up a meade 12" LX200R on

It's pretty much all spelled out in the manual. Here:

http://www.meade.com/manuals/TelescopeManuals/LXseries/LX200-ACF_manual.pdf

You should train the drives, and purchase a separate 12 volt power pack with the correct cigarette lighter style power cable. Calibrate motors BEFORE you train the drives with the same power source you will use outside at night.

If this is a GPS model-- and new--- I would execute a RESET on the hand controller-- calibrate motors and train the drives and take the scope outside and get a Satellite link and do a two star automatic alignment.

Make SURE you are centering the correct alignment stars. By the way TRAINING must be done in alt az mode before you put the scope on a wedge-- it cannot be done in polar mode.

I have a 1993 Chrysler Lebaron Convertible with 3.0 L V-6 and automatic 3 spd w/overdirve transmission. A couple of years ago, the transmission went into "limp-in" mode a couple of times, then...

My friend, from the sounds of it a scanner is not going to help you. It sounds like your valve assembly and possibly one or more of the bands are shot. Usually, when a tranny starts to slip in and out of gear on it's own or slips under a load that is not something that can be fixed without replacing parts. If it was a shift solenoid then it would just not shift into or out of certain gears. I am not even sure that a 93 would have an electric shift solenoid.

I feel your pain though, my tranny went out 8 months ago and I tried all sorts of things to "heal" it, from flushes to new cooler to additives but deep down, I knew it was shot and it was. Now, $3500 later, it runs fine :)

Propel rc execuheli upper rotor spins but the lower rotor does not? cchristmas morning and you can imagine what happens after 10 mins of play and a P.O.S. toy quits working. Any ideas

I had the same trouble this morning, I used the screwdriver that is supplied and removed the right side of the body. I found the gear on the motor shaft had slipped up the shaft and was not meshing with the bottom rotor gear. slide the motor gear down into postion, and install the right side of the body.
