I have never been so unhappy with a washer as my Duet front loader. It SMELLS horrible at times, spins and shakes violently. My clothes are always in knots, especially the sheets. My first Whirlpool and my last....or any suggestions?

CLOTHES UNBALANCED? OR COUNTER BALANCE SUPPORTS BROKEN, AND NEED REPLACMENT? WASHERS have many different weight balancers but sounds like u need to take body off and have look at the counter weights set up while running machine, just jumper the door switch to keep a closed line. and then agin sometimes its as simple as making sure ur washer is leveled on ur floor, check ur leg adjusters as they do get funny at times..

The clothes must be balanced inside the drum in order to stop the violent shaking. Unlike a front loader, the top loaders must be balanced before starting the load.

try putting in either more clothes or less, but i had a front end loader before and it did shake every time no matter what a bit.

Too many clothes in the load , reduce by 25%

Switch to an old fashioned soap powder that has more agents in it to help it dissolve

SPIN SPEED IS TOO HIGH- USE A CYCLE WITH A LOWER FINAL SPIN SPEED.

Send it back and get yourself a nice top loader w/o digital settings. The front loaders look good and all but i see so many unhappy post about them I myself will wash in a bucket before accepting on of the front loads free.

When the washer goes into spin cycle it is suppost to start at a slow speed and continue to increase speed (to a maximum of 800 RPM) as the water leaves the clothes. Your washer is going directly to 800 RPM which causes the washer to shake and stop giving you the E4 code. The control board that controls this speed increase must be replaced.

Hi you must make sure its level in all directions. ie front to back and side to side. Alos dont overload it. If its on a wooden floor it will vibrate. A concrete floor is the best

Do you always leave the washer open? We've never had this problem but they told us to always leave the door open slightly whenever it's not running.

Make sure the washer is leveled properly and all four feet are resting on the floor. If it is level, try running one cysle without any clothes in it to see it is spins without that violent shaking.. you may have also had an out of balance load.. Hope that helps!
