I have E3 error code on a washing machine it is a Bosch

What Model
The error code E3 means that the door isn't registering as closed, even if physically it is.
This is usually due to a faulty door interlock switch..
Check it physically to see if it has any heat damage or has come partially unplugged.
Here is how to change the door switch:

Door wont open on bosch classixx 6 1400 express washing machine

Hi,
The "F16" on a Bosch indicates the door is open / unlocked. If it's happening during a wash it would suggest either a faulty door lock, faulty wiring or worse, a faulty main control board. The wash program should halt when this comes up but you should be able to restart it when the door is closed. As the cost of a new door interlock isn't overly expensive. The best way to fix this problem is to purchase a new lock and fit it.
Thank you !

I am looking for repair manual for Bosch Washing Machine WFLI2440

Hi Liz, dont think you will find manual for that make or model. But if you have Halfords store near you they sell Haynes manual for washing machine repairs, which will give you very good idea how to do this. most machines are about the same when it comes to this. If this is any help to you remove plug, if you can access heater make note of all wire positions and remove them. remove small nut in centre of element and pull back plate. now you should be able to push the threaded piece forward a little. element should now come out. when replacing use washing up liquid to help get grommet onto tub. also remember to replace the nut and tighten up as this forms the grommet to make the seal. good luck

Bosch WFK 2401 Need to slam door several times to lock door

Sounds like you need the electric "door interlock" replaced. It is a simple matter of seperating the front of the machine enough to unplug the interlock mechanism, remove the two screws holding the mechanism in place and remove it from the back, reverse the procedure to install the new "updated" replacement part (- Bosch #170935 btw. about $37.00 from Sears). - time: approx 1/2 hour if you aren't mechanically inclined.

Door Lock LED flashing

Hello, This depends on how old your machine is mine is now 7 years old so I do not want to invest in long term soltions. So I repaired my own, I bought a new interlock and replaced the old one that did not work. So I shorted out the three links that go to the interlock, the machine now shows the lock is always on and you can open the door during the wash cycle so BEWARE. Also if you have never wired a plug or fixed basic electrics DO NOT DO THIS. 1. Turn off power and unplug. (Very Important) 2. Remove lid you will need torx drivers. 3. Unscrew door interlock from the front of the machine. 4. Lift out interlock. Try replacing the interlock with spare first (about £15). 5. If new interlock does not work do the following. 6. Put Interlock back on without wires attched to it. 7. From car spares shop buy spade conectors and create a three way shorting link (insulate well). 8. Put shorting link into each of the wires that go to interlock. Safely tie up wire to a loom (do not let dangle) 9. Shut the door remove hands and try starting the machine. 10. If that works put the machine back together. And warn people that the DOOR CAN BE OPENED DURING WASH CYCLE and STARTED WITH DOOR OPEN. So check when the machine has stopped properly.
