FLATRON L192WS LG

When I try to adjust the lighting settings on my monitor, I get an "OSD LOCKED" message on the screen. I've tried the solution of holding down on the Menu button until I get an OSD UNLOCKED message, but no message appears. Is there any other solution to this problem?

    Thank you very much, i'm have same error with my monitor when i press and hold book button. I don't know this problem untill i want to change my settings.

MY LG FLATRON L1951S, THE OSD IS LOCKED. HOW CAN I UNLOCK IT.
On screen display is locked. Fix it by:

The OSD can be enabled or disabled by pressing and holding the Menu button on the front panel for 10 seconds. If the OSD is locked, the warning message OSD Lock displays for ten seconds.

* If the OSD is locked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to unlock the OSD.
* If the OSD is unlocked, press and hold the Menu button for 10 seconds to lock the OSD.

Our LG flat screen l192ws is saying OSD lock and the screen is completely black. You can see through the screen though by shining a light on it... how do we get the brightness back?!!!!
The backlight inverter board amy have gone out or bad capacitors in the power supply, which is more likely.

OSD problem
Should be as simple as holding the Menu button for several seconds. Give it a try. You should get the message OSD unlocked and then the menu button will function as expected.
