My miele induction schott ceran is being locked, and I can not open it to cook??

Hi,

If you have an illuminated red key symbol on the cooktop, press down where the illuminated red key is, for about 5 seconds. This method works on many Schott Ceran / Miele cooktops including the KM443 listed above.

If this doesn't work, please let me know the correct model number.

    I have the same problem. There is a red light above the bottom next to the padlock symbol and nothing else seems to be working. When I turn off that button nothing else works either. Help? The model is "Elegance". I don't have a number.

    My Miele Induction KM 5773 is locked also and if you press power button, F appears on left hand side burners with '35' in timer display, any comments would be appreciated on how to reset, i have been trying to locate reset button underneath unit

    Hi I have schott ceran built in victoceramic hob which after placing two pots on the hob has switched its self off with no red lights anywhere and I can't get it to come back on please help thanks.

    Could be the child lock activated so press the + and - buttons at the same time to unlock

There are only two things you can do as induction cooktops for home use are new technology and also very unreliable, although Schott Ceran are the best of them.

Try doing a power reset, shut off the breaker for an hour or so.
