Hello matter0464 and a warm welcome to Fixya. The issue you are asking about is actually rather common with the RCA P56812BL after it gets a few years on it. The problem is most likely the high voltage circuit located on the main board. I would start there before looking elsewhere. Also inspect the 195 AP fuse on the main board as well because it is known to blow out periodically. Well I hope this was helpful and good luck to you. Thanks for using FixYa.

if this fuse is small then its the one i found its fine, not blown out

Hello again matter0464.I'm sure your aware this is going to be a trial and error process. The next thing I would check is the horizontal circuit. It also has been known to short out. A few other things that should get your attention may be the high voltage transformer, high voltage splitter as well as the horizontal output for a possible short. If all these check out ok try checking the B+ voltage on the collector. Let men know how it goes. I will check ino some service manuals to see if any other problems come to mind. Thank you for updating me on your situation and I hope I have helped to put you in the right direction.

How the negative effects of technology can be eliminated?

Sounds like something I had to read about recently in tech school; but it was just a jaded opinion someone threw online; and he found and quoted a few other people in respectable professions that share his view. I could post just as many counter-facts about anything now a days with online web searching. So why weigh truth based on what a somewhat collective opinion says. Just sounding good, doesn't make it good, does it? People can be compelling about anything and later find out they were completely wrong. It happens... I'm going to go with there isn't negative effects of tech if it isn't harming anyone. Besides it is too broad of a question to answer adequately because tech isn't in just 1 industry, but many. Focus on 1 specific tech and in the details is where improvements are made.

No power Up , No Sound , No picture

Im sorry tom have to inform you that a red light blinking is an indication that the main power supply is good BUT the sweep supply has a problem .. Most likly the high voltage transformer as well as the horizontal transistor is bad. if you have no solid state repair experience, you will not be able to fix this set on your own as we techs do gfo to school to learn the circuits in these sets and there are safety issues you have to know and equipment you have to have. sorry my freind but you going to need to call or take the set top a trained tech to trouble shoot as you cannot look at the board and see a problem. you have to troubleshoot the board and test the circuitry.

I've got a pana inverter CS-E24FKR, and the timer icon is blinking. I have not set a timer and i can not get the unit to respond. I tried holding the "check" button down for 5 seconds, then...

I had the same problem with a Panasonic Inverter mini split model cs-e12eku and i had to turn it off using the main power breaker switch. ( I could never get the darn error code.) I left it off for a couple of minutes and it seems to reset. My uncle is in the ac business and he has heard from other ac techs that the Panasonic ac's are problematic, sounds like it might be true...I suspect that the time, my unit worked perfectly for from 11/06 to June 08 and living in the tropics I used it every day I havent called Panasonic but it sounds like a faulty circuit board.
