Blue spot is probably light engine. Bad news. Flashing depends on the amount of times your timer power light blinks

Blue spots on Sony WEGA KDF60XS955

Thats caused by a bad optical block. The cost of that repair will almost always be greater than replacing the TV.Thats a very common issue with alot of Sony DLP models which suffered that optical block issue with the blobs of color usually blue or green

My Sony Grand Wega LCD TV currently has a large blue spot on the left side of the screen when powered on. I have changed the lamp, but this did not solve the problem. Could this be caused by bad component...

Hi,
I'm afraid, it is problem of optics unit block (light engine), there are 3 LCDs red-green-blue for color picture formation and blue LCD sounds bad, please call local TV tech for fix.
Thanks.

Green flashing is normal. Red flashes are error codes. Count the error flashes.

3x - Lamp cover position or cover detect switch bad.
4x - One or more fans failed RPM test
5x - Lamp power supply/ballast failure
6x - Thermal fuse failed (usually)
