Easiest thing to do, Change the password to your router. Once this is done, it will prevent your neighbor from any further access to your router and of course prevent internet access. Most all routers are simply a local web address for access. Example: 192.168.1.1 typed inside a browser address pane will take you inside the router. Check your router for setup procedures.
Does your neighbor know that you are using his connection?
if not, maybe he changed his password, and you cannot use it anymore, so do ask neighbor first if anything changed ;)
If your wireless access suddenly requires a password, one of two things has happened... either you are inadvertently trying to connect to a neighbor's wireless router, or someone has modified your router. If you are certain it is your router you are attempting to connect to, and it is requiring a password you did not setup, your best bet is to perform a hard reset. There should be a reset button on the back of your router. You should press and hold this button for a few seconds. This will clear all setup information and return the router to factory setup. In order to setup your router from this point, you will need to connect directly to the router, perform whatever setup options you prefer, and then you should be able to connect wirelessly. It is highly recommended that you setup a password for wireless access. It is also recommended you change the admin password to prevent someone else from making unwanted modifications.
Plug in the adapter, install the driver, from the wireless icon in your system tray join your neighbors wireless network. That is of course assuming your neighbor knows about it and it isn't password protected.
Use the cd that came with the Router. Run the cd like you did when you first got it. You should come to a point where it recommends a WPA security. Click it. Then you just have to create a password. Complete the rest of the setup. Then you will have to go to any device connected through the router and put in the password. That should keep your neighbor from leeching off you.
on some routers, you can use your computer to make a security code on the router. once that is done, they cant use it unless they find out the security code
I have the same router. Mine is from verizon, and i assume yours is also from verizion. Please follow these steps:
1.Type "192.168.1.1" in your browser window.
2.Username is "admin" and the password is "password"
3.Click on wireless setup.
4.Make sure that WEP is on and copy down all of your wireless settings at the bottom.
Thats it.
You may have a not very friendly neighbor, who has changed your setup in the router. But, - you have the router, - what you have to do, is to find the "reset" on the back of the router, press and hold for about 30 seconds, and you have reset it to factory standard. DO SET THE ADMIN password as the first thing you do, as this is why you neighbor could access your router. THEN set some kind of security, to keep your neighbor from using your connection.... I will gladly help you with that one to, if you like.

First of all your neighbor must be able to reach your signal. When they start up their wireless application they must be able to see your SSID, and have enough signal strength to actually connect and do meaningful work. This might be the case already, or you may need to put in a repeater closer to your neighbor. You r neighbor could also purchase an external directional wifi antenna from radio shack to improve reception. I have used Cantennas (look like a Pringles Can) before and they work ok.
Once you have signal then you just need to give your neighbor the password to your wifi network for them to enter into their network application. This password was setup when you setup the wireless network. You probably wrote it down, or it is a common password that you use.
The rest should be seemless, depending on the signal strength.
