If you happened to expose the camera to bright sunlight it could have damaged the CCD which is the image sensor in the camera. So keep aside after removing battery for a while and switch on .
If the pink shade comes on the you can claim for warranty on the camera as it is new one.

Canon Powershot s60 photos have pink tint

Hello

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Your camera is faulty. It should be taken to an authorized repair centre for a repair estimate. Very few digital cameras have any user-serviceable parts.

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Camera is on! but blank screen when i turn it on !

Does it actually work? Does it take pictures? It may be that "liveview" is off-that is the screen you normally view on when taking your photos. Try using it and then playing your photos back and check if its woking. A mate of mine had that problem last week and thought her camera was broken!

Pink in the photos

maybe you use wrong white balance, test auto and manual white balance; if there is pink again then your camera have hard ware problem (CCD for exaple). I hope this helps...

Pink screen

An online chat with an HP agent resolved my problem, at least. All I had to do was reset the camera, which is done via the following steps:
  1. Remove the memory card.
  2. Turn off the camera.
  3. Open the battery compartment and remove the batteries.
  4. Wait at least ten seconds.
  5. Reinsert the batteries and close the battery compartment door.
  6. Turn on the camera. When the camera is turned on, you will be prompted to input or verify the date and time
Don't forget to reinsert the memory card.
