Red Ghost my Toshiba 57 in 57h82 TV has a red ghost on the right and some on the left" Touch focus doesn't work, just get a error message. Manually focusing doesn't work. Help

This may be a convergence issue but it is difficult to determine with that description. Watch this video and see if it will help you determine if you have a convergence problem or possible something else.

The same problem just happened to mine a few minutes ago. The red image on top and bottom of the TV were way off their positions. Doubled-red images can be seen on top and bottom of the screen. Can any one help?

It could be that there is a speaker close by. It produces a change of colour.

Toshiba 57h81 green will not focus
Typically this is a convergence problem and can be repair relatively easy. Refer to this video to determine if you truly have a convergence problem. Also make sure you use your TV's original remote to make this adjustment.

Convergence -manual
Replace the convergence amps and test and replace any or all of the 2.2ohm resistors in the yoke return path out in front of the amps. This unit takes two STK392-110 Sanyo originals, DO NOT GET CHINESE KNOCK-OFFS... Buy them from Acme sales out of Florida and you can be assured they're originals.

Red is out of convergence
You can repair it yourself by replacing both STK392-110 Convergence ICs. You can get replacement ICs at the following link with free instalation instructions . Heres the link.

Blue shadows/ghosts
how old is the tv ??
if this tv is older than 5 years it may need to refill the liquid on the proyection bulbs and/or could have contaminats in the fluid causing the ghost and to fix that you will need a professional person to do it

Blue ghost
If you have the ability to work on solid state electronics and know how these circuits work, you will need to replace the convergence IC's in this TV set. If you do not, call in a pro to assist you in this repair. Good Luck
