Not sure of model but usually means too full of clothes, try a small amount first if that doesnt help it may still be out of balance, If the drum can be seen to jump about, maybe a drum mounting issue.

It had nothing to do with amount of clothes in it. I put very little in and tried it also put nothing in and tried it. It still does the same thing. It is a Kenmore Elite Oasis st. It keeps flashing an F

Hi, Ahh its a Kenmore Elite Oasis ST, Does it have any number after the F? I'm sure these have a recall on them fora faulty control panel circuit boards. Google the make and model and read the various reviews online.

Why does the dryer cut off after approx 5 minutes

Dryer: Starts then stops. If an electric dryer starts but then stops before the load is dry, a clogged exhaust vent may have caused the dryer to overheat and trip the thermal fuse. ... A bad drive motor, failed timer or faulty electronic control board can also stop the dryer before the cycle ends.

I have Samsung gas dryer model DV410. no heat, replaced two thermal fuse and hi low limit. Now it only works with timed cycle mode. the rest mode, it runs only for least the 5 minutes and shut off.

timed cycle mean dryer not on sensor dry mode. check wire connection on moisture sensor bars (i think you forget to put 2 wire connector put together). when you use other cycle dryer use moisture sensor to dry cloths so sensor not working dryer will stop in 5 minutes or so because dryer think there are no wet cloths to dry. hope this help you.

I was drying my clothes and the steam feature would not turn off. How do I turn off the steam feature ?

Hi friend, thanks for your post!

I understand that the steam feature on your Electrolux dryer is not turning off. I would recommend a reset and you can do that by disconnecting power to your dryer for ten minutes. I hope this helps. -Matt

Frigidaire GLEQ2152ESO Dryer flashing AD

AD means "auto dry", which means the dryer is supposed to be detecting the moisture levels in your clothing and adjusting the drying time accordingly.

If your dryer is flashing "AD" and turning off shortly after the start, there is likely a problem with the mechanism designed to detecting the moisture levels. If it turns off after trying to use all various settings (including the no-heat feature), it is likely a wiring issue.

Fridgidaire dryer

In dryers, the small clothes can get caught in one of the drum seals and make a scrapping noise, ( remove power, grab a flash light and have a peek inside through the door opening ) or the cloth can actually pass through one of the heating duct holes at the back of the drum and touch something electrical like the heating element, thermostats and so the noise comming.

Dryer starts runs for 4min flashes e1 turns off

The E-1 error code is a thermistor error, some problem with the variable resistance.....this can be caused by over use of fabric softener sheets, which can cause lint to become tacky and coat the thermistor, or it just simply failed. Try replacing the thermistor.
