This is probably because of a defect or missing RAM chip. Try replace the RAM chip on formatter board or call for service if the product is still under warranty. Check for yourself HERE.

Part number for the OPC Drum in a HP toner cartridge CC530A.

That OPC is the same for HP CP1215/1515/1518/2020/1525 CM 1312/2320/1415 cartridges.
No Part number, search OPC HP CP1215/1515/1518/2020/1525 CM 1312/2320/1415.

Did you replace with a new original HP drum or a remanufactured unit? It is possible that the chip on the unit that is supposed to reset the drum was defective. If you purchased an original HP drum, contact HP and ask them to replace it, or if remanufactured, contact the people you bought it from.

HP 4300 series printer doesn't put ink on paper

Try a "head-cleaning" cycle -- if the ink inside the cartridges is not getting through the print-head mechanism, then nothing will reach the paper.

Given that a replacement HP printer will be inexpensive, when compared to taking the printer to a qualified service technician, I recommend that you responsibly recycle the printer, and buy a new HP printer that uses the same ink-jet cartridges as your current printer.

It sounds like you downloaded the PCL Universal Driver. Try the full solution driver or the PostScript Universal Driver. Both allow color prints.

Or, you may be able to find it cheaper in Google. Type in "Laserjet 2550n drum" and see what results you get.

Hello,
the drum is in cartridge with toner. So if you buy new cartridge ( genuine or repaired ) you can use your MFP.
You must have on mind that you have 4 drum/toner units inside - Bk, C, M, Y. To be sure which one is needed to be changed refer to your problem, which I presume are lines and spots on printed paper. i.e. if the lines are yellow, you need to replace yellow cartridge.
The crg. No. are:
CB540A-Bk
CB541A-C
CB542A-Y
CB543A-M

Remanufactured one are from 50USD to 70 USD depending on quality.

The each cartridge goes about 2000-2500 prints/copies.
