My wash act as if it wants to start - it goes thru all of the motion, locking the door and all the lights come on - the timer begins the count down for the first minute and then it beeps and a error pops up on the LED - the code looks like " ddo " I did find a small magnet under the detergent dispenser, it had attached itself to the top of the washer door. Any help would be appreciated.

I too had the same problem, I closed the soap tray and a magnet popped out and got stuck to the door. Same problem with it acting like it was going to start and then beeped. This is where the magnet goes, just stick it back in, its held in with pressure (barely) :)

I took the whole control panel off to locate the magnetic reed switch, then just reverse engineered where the magnet is supposed to go on the soap drawer.

If you still have problems with the washer not starting, take off the top panel (2 screws in the back of the washer, slide the top panel back and lift), take out the soap tray (pull it out, press the piece of plastic down that says push and then pull the tray all the way out), take off the control panel (2 screws on top, 2 screws inside soap tray hole) and find the magnetic switch. It is black with 2 black wires and it is situated right next to the soap tray hole. Cut the wires somewhere in the middle (in case you want to reattach the sensor later). On the 2 pieces of wire still attached to the circuit board, strip the ends off and wrap them together. Use some electrical tape to insulate them from touching anything.

This will bypass (short) the sensor, telling the washer that the soap tray is always closed. The only problem with this is that if you try to open the soap tray while its filling, you might get wet. Just put the soap in first, turn it on, and don't open the soap tray while its in cycle :)

Frigidaire Front Load washer (25 yrs old) fills completely but does not spin for the wash cycle. Manual timer clicks and buzzes but drum does not spin nor does the timer advance.

Sure sounds like your timer has bit the dust. I'm not sure if the timer is still available. You have a great washer there. Good luck.

Hello - Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, either the drainage hose/pump is clogged and needs to be cleaned, or you have another issue with the door lock assembly or the timer and control board not communicating correctly. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

My frigidaire front load washer will not start. anytime I push a button on the front panel the "LOL" sign flashes. on the front of the washer panel d wash rinse final spin control lights are...

Is the message "LOL" or "LOC"? I suspect the child lock "LOC" has been activated. To toggle this off, press and hold Options and Select for 10+ seconds. This feature prevents someone from accidently starting or changing a cycle selection.

There is a small padlock icon in the middle of lines linking the two buttons that let you toggle the child lock on and off.

There are two Frigidaire washers with the model ATF6000ES (the S is followed by a 0 or a 1). The manuals for both are available here: http://www.frigidaire.com/manuals?model=ATF6000ES . The child lock feature is described in the Operating Instructions. For the ATF6000ES0, the direct link to the appropriate manual is http://manuals.frigidaire.com/prodinfo_pdf/Webster/134604400.pdf . See page 2 under Washer Features.

I hope this helps.

Will not drain and spin keep beeping with error E20

  1. Remove the 2 screws on the bottom and the front access panel comes off.
  2. Pump is on the right, remove hoses from it, remove pump from machine and remove whatever is in the pump.
Try holding the start/pause and cancel key together for 3 seconds. The door lock, wash, rinse and final spin LEDs should light. Any error codes should be displayed when holding those keys.
