Panasonic DMC-G1K camera. Have downloaded the latest firmware update to my computer. How do I transfer this update from my computer to the camera? There is no mention in the camera operating instructions book how to do this. Your help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

Unfortunately, as the camera is over six years old now, it is unlikely that a driver will be available. For a firmware update, check on the manufacturer's website.
The best way to transfer your images is to put the media card into a separate USB card reader, which Windows 10 should treat as just another disc drive.

How reboot lz10?
Take out the battery. Check Canon support site http://shop.panasonic.com/search/?dotcms_full_category_ids=c43fe82f-e702-4495-804a-8b6fae11067c&support=y

for latest firmware and update if needed. Last tab on right for specific cameras.

Self timer stuck
hello

Have you tried turning the drive mode lever from self timer mode to single shot mode? If not, surrounding the mode dial are a couple of levers: one being the on and off lever and the other being the drive mode lever. if you move the drive mode lever up to the first option (illustrated by a single box, meaning single shot), you'll be able to turn the self timer off.

If that doesn't work, then it might be a system bug/error. In that case, download the latest firmware here and upgrade your camera.

DMC-G1K my Lumix is only showing black & white. Can you get me back to colour? Can't work out how to reset to default setting. Any help greatly appreciated. carl
Press the FILM MODE button (to the right of the mode dial). Use cursor-left/right to select one of the color modes. Press the MENU/SET button.

Hunting for a book about Panasonic DMC-G1K, such as the dummies books. I havbe the Panasonic instruction book and it is too difficuilt to follow.
I don't know of any books specifically for this model, but if you browse the shelves of your local public library or bookstore, I'm sure you'll find a variety of introductory books on digital photography and point&shoot cameras.
