Looks like it's unable to find the harddrive to boot from. It's trying to boot from a network location now.
Try entering the bios and see if you have an option to run a scan on the harddrive
Also check the boot options - make sure that it starts from the harddrive BEFORE it tries to boot from network.

HI there,
The "Error" texts saying:
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-MOF: Exiting Intel Boot Agent.
Are completely normal. This simply states that there is no external cables plugged into the specialty inputs on your toshiba laptop.

The "operating system not found" is stating that your existing hard drive is either A) dead or B) been erased.

Try to re-install your operating system, if it finds no hard drive, you'll need a new one!

I got a Toshiba Satellite A15-S1292 at a yard sale and immediately upon booting I received this message: IDE #0 ERROR Intel(R) Boot Agent FE v4.1.09 Copyright (C) 1997-2002, Intel...

Hi Jon.

Go into the BIOS confuguration by pressing the F2 key as the laptop starts up and set the BIOS to its default configuration. Save the changes by pressing the F10 key or save in the BIOS menu. The computer will restart so see if that has made any difference.
If you still get the same IDE #0 error then the hard drive is ready for failing. A replacement hard drive will not cost much at all.
Seeing as you have only spent $20 on the laptop in the first place you have got yourself a bargain there. Spend a liitle money on a new drive and OS then you could have a fully working laptop.

Regards.

Modern TVs are basically a computer. In case you are talking about your computer, this is very old as it is copyright 1997. So, is this failure of a hard-drive of a computer, or failure of the high voltage circuit on a TV?

Wile I am trying to boot it up it goes in to a loop

Hello.

That error message usually refers to a hard disk failure. Your hard disk cable could be loose or faulty. Or, your hard drive would need to be replaced.

I'd suggest to check the cable and run your system's hardware diagnostics (often F2 or F12) when your system boots.

Hope this helps.

Boot Problems

Hi,

PXE means it will only boot while connected to the network,

You need to change the bois From network boot to Hard drive boot.

The system doesn't see a hard drive inside,

it thinks it is booting from the network only,

it boots to a server like this.

It is called a dumb terminal

Richard.
