The images below show the steps for accessing and pulling the filter on the drain pump. Unplug the washer and remove the bottom front service panel. Arrange a container to catch water that will likely flow out when you remove the filter. Remove the filter and clear any debris from the pump.

My maytag washer MVWC6ESWW1 is redepositing lint or something on to the clothes. Does it have any filters or traps I need to check?

Washing machines vary by manufacturers and models and some don't have a lint trap. Lint pumps out of the washer with the water, during the drain and spin cycle, and goes down the drain.

Is there a lint trap for this model? If so where?

There is no lint trap on these washers. The manufacturers are depending on the dryer to remove 80% of the lint. The only solution they give is when sorting the clothes separate the lint givers from the lint takers. Hope this helps

Need to locate lint trap on washer....affinity frigidare front load washer

There is no lint trap on this washer. There is a filter in the hose that goes from the tub to the pump that occasionally will get plugged with lint, but it is not designed to be regularly cleaned. During normal usage, the lint is designed to be pumped out with the water.

Can't find the lint trap

There must be two vents going into the interior of the dryer, one is the intake (where the hot air comes from), the other is the outtake (where the lint trap must be). Locate the two vents and see if one of them has anything removable near it (or if the vent itself has finger holes or something that you can grab and pull or slide it open). All dryers have a lint trap (building codes probably even require it).

Where is the lint trap on the front loader

There is no lint trap. There is a coin catcher on the pump. The design of the wash action on a front loader is such there is less lint than on standard machines. One of the bennies of the design.

Where does the fluff go when you use the dryer on

The lint should go in the lint trap. If it doesn't go in the lint trap it goes out the exhaust pipe if the lint trap is not installed.

Where is the filter?

Hi,
To find the filter you need to do the following steps. Find your lint trap. Lint traps in washing machines can be in the agitator (the large plastic piece in the center of the tub), at the top of the washer on the rim of the tub, or attached to the washing machine's drainage hose. Pull out the agitator tube to check for the lint trap. Peel any loose lint from the filter. Scrub away lint that doesn't peel off easily with a heavy-duty paper towel or a wet sponge. Feel your way around the top rim of the washing machine's basin. If you locate a trap, pull it straight out of the machine. Peel away loose lint and follow up with a wet sponge or heavy-duty paper towel. Check your machine's drainage hose for an attached lint trap. Remove the trap and peel the top layer of lint off. Rinse the trap in low-pressure, warm water. Reattach to the drainage hose. Check for and remove any lint or debris that may have dropped into the washing machine basin during the cleaning.
